We have so many topics on the negatives at the moment.

Maybe we need to reflect on the more positives a bit more.

We have some exceptional younger talent coming through into this team now which should form the spine for years to Come. Monga, Stolarkzyk, Nelson, Thomas, Fatawu, Page, Okoli, Alunko, with the likes of Alves, Cartwright and Braybrooke to getting minutes elsewhere.

We have only lost 7 league games, with only half the season gone. That will annoy some but you Can see that once we get some consistency we’ll move up this table .

Mavididi is starting to find some form.

JJ is an exceptional loan signing and the option to take him permanently shouldn’t even be debated. If we sold him straight away, we’d make profit.

Skipp, Ayew and Bobby Reid are starting to show signs that they are capable of playing for us.

I’m sure we have more, lots, lots more!

The positive is that the squad isn’t as bad as I thought.

The negative is that the manager is incredibly amateur.

imo, a very good manager could get consistency out of what we have.

You picked a bad day to attempt positivity

If our players had 10% of your belief

I actually agree that we have a decent enough squad. I feel the team is lacking in mental strength for whatever reasons.

Look at Dyche at Forest, turned them from losing every week to winning every week without changing a thing. Just instilled the right mentality.

Without attempting to put any negativity in this thread... The squad is nowhere near good enough.

We have some good players, but when you look at the spine of the team, we are severely lacking.

Jakub - not good enough

Vesty/Nelson - might be good enough, but missing one of those means the centre of defence is bang average.

Jordan James - Fine (but not our player), supported by Skipp/Soumare/Winks = centre midfield isn't good enough.

I don't even have to mention striking options.

Outside of that we have a couple of decent options in more luxury positions and a bunch of youngsters that might be quite good some day.

We need new players before a new manager.

I don't care as much as I used when I was a younger man

I don't either but this current situation leaves a feeling of malaise particularly as it difficult to see a way out as the club appears to be skint or can't spend and nobody seems able to get a grip

Well tbf all of the managers haven’t been good enough, but that aside… the squad 100% wasn’t good enough for the prem… far from it.

but it is good enough for a run at the championship

I don’t actually think we’re good enough to be in the top half of the championship with the dross in our squad. We need to be brutally honest to stop deluding ourselves.

Are we calling Thomas and Okoli exceptional young talent?

Okoli is in his mid-20s and plays like he's wearing a suit of armour. Absolute dogshit for £12 million quid, pathetic bit of recruitment.
