Why are we so poor?

An owner who has asset stripped the club over 4 seasons, under invested in the playing staff, appointed yes men and nodding lackeys in the boardroom, who in turn have had no accountability for their dire recruitment and financial decisions that have led to us having utter dross on the pitch that don't care if they win lose or draw.

Toxic attitude everywhere at the club. It seems like managers and players' enthusiasm is totally sapped from them within weeks of joining.

 

Players - Any players who don't want to be here should be sold this month, and if we can't find anyone just pay off their contracts. A motivated team of average players will beat an unmotivated team of slightly more talented individuals.

 

Managers - Stop playing 4-2-3-1 when we don't have a striker good enough to play as a 1 or centre backs good enough to play as a 2.

 

Execs - have some accountability. Doing your job badly should have consequences.

Sure, but ultimately this is why we're not getting results. We have an average squad and a below average manager. Obviously the reasons for that go deeper as you say.
