I guarantee that no one has suggested us signing either of them in the "who do we need in January" thread despite them being in positions we are short in.

Rivalries happen naturally. No one can change the hate I have for Forest. I don't see the Coventry game ever having the same magnitude. The bollocks about not caring is tiring and clearly not true. I had Derby fans telling me the Leeds game means more to them and they sold half the tickets for that game than they did for ours. Says it all. Coventry were impossible to have any real hated for for so long because we have always been better than them in most fans lifetimes. 5

A lot depends on where you live.Growing up in Hinckley when they won the cup generated much antipathy.

Hyeok was recalled from Portsmouth and sent straight to Cov so wouldn’t have been seen as an option Until we knew the extent of Ramsey’s injury I don’t think people had another attacking mid / right winger that high on our list compared to other positions, and Esse was already joining Cov when we found out Ramsey was out for a while Edited 13 January by moore_94 1

foxgas Posted 13 January Posted 13 January At least our players are used to a hostile atmosphere.........at home! 2
Leicesterpool Posted 13 January Posted 13 January If we can just approach this game same as derby away then you never know. Just nicking that early goal could be vital. 1
BrilliantFox Posted 13 January Posted 13 January (edited) They only won last time due to a dodgy red card on Fatawu thanks to the worst referee in the country Darren England. So its only fair that Coventry start with 10 men this year Edited 13 January by BrilliantFox
Leicesterpool Posted 13 January Posted 13 January (edited) Feels like this will be more hostile fixture compared to other years, other times Cov fans haven't bothered to turn up seeing as we had the upper hand. Suddenly seeing as there doing well they have come out the woodwork. I remember 2011, we took 6k to there place! I doubt we would be allowed to take that many again. Vassell got sent off If i remember and we won with ten men. That was my last M69 away. Edited 13 January by Leicesterpool 1

Started of at highfield very toxic between both sets of fans! But that’s how a derby should be under 20 miles apart

Mate I’m guessing your speaking from a view who does not live the m69 way or south Leicester area ? I’m interested to know if you went highfield road? I know a lot of fans especially wigston area who put cov down as there number one rivals it’s the same as me, for me personally there was a lot more hatred going to highfield road in The late 90s then to forest

Yeah that was class that day. Almost a third of the ground were Leicester fans as there were several hundred in the home end too.

It’s only a suggestion, but you might need to raise your expectations as to what constitutes a fun day out? 🤔 2
Tomo260 Posted 13 January Posted 13 January Covs form is wobbly atm. Doctor Leicester will fix that 1
Katy Posted 13 January Posted 13 January I grew up in South Wigston so detest Cov with a passion. I also hate Forest as well but not that arsed about Derby, they just don’t annoy me as much as the other two.

StanSP Posted 13 January Posted 13 January It's gonna be absolutely grim. Early kick off on a Saturday against rivals who are top of the league looking to get back on form. Against a side low on confidence, can only rely on moments of magic from 1 or 2 players, and a defence that can keep a clean sheet for love nor money. Not to mention a manager under the cosh who doesn't know when or which changes to make at the right time. Even if we were to miraculously take a 1 or 2 goal lead, absolutely no faith we'd keep it. So yeah, not confident if you can't tell 1
