Going into this season it was so obvious that playing to the strength of our wide men (due to a lack of threat up top) and protecting our centre halves deficiency’s was the key to us having any sort of success. 
 

Cifuentes game on game does neither of these. He’s lucky Jordan James and a few clutch moments has saved him from total embarrassment.

The whole culture and spirit of the club is broken. Imagine scoring a last minute equaliser and neither the fans nor players celebrate. Imagine Ayew seemingly time wasting whilst taking a free kick when we are 1 down with a couple of minutes left. Imagine the manager not making any subs by choice until the 78th minute when the momentum of the game was clearly against us for the whole of the second half. Imagine Ayew being left on the pitch for 90 minutes again, besmirching the number 9 shirt.

Honestly just the baseline level of competency in terms of hiring a director of football, manager and board with the same vision and even this set up walks this division.

 

What you are seeing now is the absolute minimum this shit can produce. And there is so many who are just accustomed to it, okay with it and complicit. 

 

Think we are a year or two away from talking about a phoenix club.

Every game is just the same in this league. It’s woeful. We play crap teams all the time and they just out battle us and outwork us every single time.

This was the biggest takeaway from the whole match for me. We know we are poor but this really demonstrates bigger problems within the team than perhaps are obvious on the surface. 

There's just no team spirit at all, no cohesiveness. It is like the players are just playing for themselves and not for a team at all. 

The goal we conceded was terrible. Ultimately the keeper is to blame but it all stems from the fact that the press is all wrong and disjointed leading to players being out of position and not able to track back.

Otherwise it is just the same old issues time and time again which the manager and his team seem unable to address.

The passing is too slow. Playing out from the back nearly always ends up with the ball with Okoli who clearly doesn't know what to do with it.

Ricardo is, sadly, finished at this level.

We are so narrow that any team that moves the ball wide quickly exposes us each time they do it.

Without James we have basically no attacking options in midfield

Ayew is a major problem. We can't press properly from the front because he is just too slow.

We're too predictable and I really can't say what our style of play is except woeful.

There's no point in bringing Monga on if the only passes we're going to give him are with his back to goal or over his head.. He needs quick ball to be able to run onto.

Page looks a good prospect but like Monga he's young and raw and we can't expect them to turn things around on their own.

The senior players need to start playing for the club and show some desire and leadership on the pitch. Can they do it?  I don't think so.

 

Finally the manager needs to go. I'd say now but definitely in the summer. He's just not up to it.
