This is is worse than when we held on to Brendan Rodgers for longer than we should...Im sorry but the powers that be have proven with Cooper, RVN and Cifuentes that they are incapable of choosing the right man to lead us so for that reason they have to go

Another game where the result depends on either Jordan James bailing us out or the opposition wasting their chances. As one wasn't available, the other was the difference.

Fully deserved defeat against a side with little of our budget but an attitude to play and work us out. It isn't difficult. Their manager called us an illustrious football club but beating us is no great achievement. It is a poor result if they don't.

In a way it's a shame that we achieved what we did in the glory days because the fan base, including me, now hope for the equivalent. That's never going to happen and most of us understand and accept that.

However the drop off is so disappointing and frustrating.

If we'd never had those heady days of unexpected, wonderful success, we wouldn't be bemoaning the situation we're now in because this level would have always been the norm

Sadly we had that almost intangible "thing" that we strived for and it was down to a perfect set of circumstances.

Now things have changed.

I agree that we should be performing better but we'll never be as we were in the cup/title years.

I'm NOT a happy clapper BTW. Just a realist.

I think all we ask is to be run in a sensible, sustainable manner, like other clubs who were in our shadow until very recently are.

Brighton, Brentford and Bournemouth have been mentioned on here ad nauseum, but with very good reason. Sure, they haven't hit our heights, but all three continue to do shrewd business, attract the right profile of player, and seem capable of selling star assets without regressing to the point of collapse. A Semenyo-less Bournemouth just put three past the reigning Champions for God's sake.

That's all we expect - a plan to be run sustainably and - yes - build a squad capable of maintaining a Premier League position. We on the other hand had that, and chose to destroy it through a complete lack of vision beyond "possession=good i guess", poor managerial choices and a quite frankly insane wage structure. Which continues to be a noose around us even as we're getting humbled by a squad of mostly lower-league journeymen and kids which I doubt has a single player on £10k or more a week.

Walked past some Oxford fans who said "they have to be the worst fans I've ever seen!"

They just don't know what we've been through the last 5 years. That game was horrendous

For me, it’s the ease of the goals we concede week in, week out that’s is the most concerning.

Our back line is truely horrific, I wouldn’t accept tha sort of defending at Sunday league level.

We must learn… blah blah blah…

We are talking the absolute basics of defending. For the second goal to see Okoli and Vestergaard casually jogging back to the point where Ricardo runs past them both to get closest to making the challenge is disgraceful.

We’re tactically inept, the players don’t give a shit and the money they are all on is a recipe for not only relegation, but also serious financial troubles going forward. Every single player above the age of 23 should be sold or released at the earliest opportunity.

We need to ramp up the Rudkin/Top out protests before we don’t have a club anymore.

I thought no.44 for Oxford Peart Harris looked very useful. Quick, strong, good in the air and an excellent presser and ball carrier.

Yeh, but can he do shit pointless long throw ins to the box?

Walking down the stairs at the end of the game I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Not an insignificant amount of people enthusiastically applauding that off. It's the equivalent of watching some bloke sleep with your missus and then proceeding to tuck him in once he's finished. I cannot fathom the logic.

It was similar as I descended the steps. Several people actually clapping with enthusiasm. Putting my utter disbelief aside, I booed and was wary of being pushed from behind, but nothing happened.

I went to the west side of the stadium, hoping to see some fans readying for a protest, but there were just a few fans waiting to get autographs and pictures.

They hire the manager… yes it’s their fault!
After the managers they have employed since Rogers left, would you trust them to hire a new one?

To be fair, for a group of supporters on a big away day out you could hardly hear anything from them either. Especially considering its probably one of the best results in their history

Epitomised by the ending of the game when the Oxford number 4 was rallying his players and giving it the big un.

We had no one.

Literally no lcfc player was egging the team on.

We needed a goal to get an equaliser, which actually hurts me to say, but I'm glad we didnt, as we deserved feck all.

Literally NO leaders in this team.

Jordan Ayew is due to captain the Ghana side at this summer's World Cup.

It's a guarantee he'll put in a lot more effort for them than he does for us.

And when they play England, he'll probably turn into prime Roy Keane..

Fair enough. I'm at the other end of the ground and just didn't really hear much reverberation from their end, and when they did it was the same old generic chants.

I do apologise. One of their best results in the last 40 years and why I said "one of".

Honestly, Vichai loved this club and everything it represented. He would be absolutely turning in his grave if he could see what his own son has done to it. He would be so ashamed.

Reckon he would've sacked his son,  had Vichai stepped away in a completely different scenario to what happened, as soon as it was discovered what was happening to the club after him.

Maybe one day, Susan Whelan will reveal what happened during the latter part of her time where which led to her leaving.
