I think he will prefer being a big fish in a smaller pond.

 

Perform well for a big club in Turkey and you get treated like royalty.

 

He doesn't strike me as the type of personality that would choose to knuckle down at a smaller English club.

Trossard is a bloody good player but is 31 so its a good price .. having a few quid on besiktas to win Turkish league next season

That means we lose money, which might be the only option but it’s early in the summer and we apparently have 2 interested parties. I’d personally push for a bit more.

We don’t lose money, we gain £12m cash. I presume you mean lose from a PSR point of view? 

edit - didn’t we sign him for £14m two seasons ago? So at £12m we wouldn’t “lose money” from a PSR point of view? Unless I’m misunderstanding

I think the Turks have been lobbing money about the last few seasons… Fenerbahce about to sign greenwood for €42m as well although the guess he falls into an upper tier bracket….
 

I’d say £15/20m for a youngster with the potential of Fatawu who’s also proven he can cut it at prem level should be exactly what we’re holding out for ( praying for the latter)
