Absolutely disgusting that Page and Aluko have been cast aside.

Gotta keep 'em fresh for next season in League One.

I don't think he has shown enough really to be appointed on a full time basis. We need a complete rebuild and a complete change in ethos through the whole club and I don't see him as the person to do it.

We're basically back at the stage where Brian Little came in all those years ago.

Scruffy ****er not sure one win so far

He beat Bristol City.

I think he's stabilised us well, but now he needs to show he can turn it up a couple of notches.

Need to turn the draws into wins for at least 2 of the next 3.

I think there are people who think another manager could come in and drastically change things. We are where we are because of the squad of players we have. Worst set of full backs in the league. A shite goalkeeper and two strikers who have scored single figures between them. Klopp wouldnt be able to fix this team without a serious overhaul

Hasn’t even attempted to play youngsters, change the formation or think outside of the box tactically.

That’s part of my issue. He’s tried to wrap them in cotton wool

We need to be brave and find a good up and coming manager.

Right now I'd go for the Southampton manager if he could be got away from Southampton.

He has such a refreshing approach to the game. And Southampton look a really good team with the same squad that was facing relegation early in the season.

I agree with trying a different set up, but I don’t these players are capable of adapting to new ideas. More over they seem only interested in Mascera style of play. Re playing  the youth. I wouldn’t want them to play with some of half arsed players we have, which could potentially damage them. Regardless of which division we’re in next season, we should introduce them with experience players with the right mental attitudes.

Don’t think he’s doing a bad job at all with this lot, if it wasn’t for some terrible misses at Watford we’d be 3 points better off and we’d all be saying he’s pulling us out of trouble. Other than the odd flash of brilliance from Fatawu and JJ, these players are League One standard.

Think its more that theres barely any games left so doesnt have the luxury of being able to experiment with youngsters. Although i dont understand why Hutchinson hasnt been put on the bench with our lack of goals upfront. Page isnt better then any of the midfielders in our usual 18

Is that you, Martyn?

I was supportive of his appointment and I do think there have been positives in most of the performances (not QPR or Norwich). I also fear who the clowns above will appoint next.

That said, I just can’t get on board with the must play experience view point. The experience is letting us down and the younger lot have been completely discarded. I also have a feeling transfer business under Rowett would stink the place out. I mean recruitment will anyway so we would at least need a manager who can try and counteract that.

Could  of tried that with the Lincoln  bloke ,but word gets round in football that we're a basket case. Why would any up and coming manager come here with the current board and players we've  got?

Liked him as a player here, doesn't convince me as a manager, didn’t expect him to completely fix a poor defence but we’re still giving away cheap goals and playing Ayew was baffling.

I can’t put my trust in Rudkin and Co’s half arsed, slow process to discover a great manager, and there was clearly something that wasn’t convincing for one or both parties 4 weeks before he ended up with the job, probably the last resort for both Rowett and the Club?

Massive changes in the summer, they need to get back to finding players for whom it means something to pull on our shirt, again in comes back to Rudkin and Co, I’d be happy to see Rowett given a chance long term with the right group of players but it’s not working with this lot.

A manager that can see the problems and change them instead of ignoring and watching them repeat game after game.  Some tactics and patterns of play drilled int the attackers would be nice.

Fatawu can barely beat championship defenders, stands still to receive the ball and wont make any runs.  Anyone with eyes can see a simple 1-2 move and we can open up a defence.  Even Mavadidi started to do it last game, but then he shuts down, won’t try and shoot or cross until it’s too late.

He’s just another caveman manager, no tactics or gameplay ideas other than keep it tight and clapping his hands on the sideline.  It doesn’t need to be an experiment, he has two seasons worth of games to learn how these players play.  He has let them play exactly the same way as what has gotten us into this mess.  It says more about him playing known knowns who continually fail over a know unknown who is scoring in the u21s or Page who has shown he can play with the 1st team.
