No Cifuentes is one of the shitest managers in the world, he was taking us down without a shadow of a doubt, all the stats showed that, every win we had under him bar maybe 3 was pure luck or brilliance from individuals. Watching the games last year there was not more than 3 games we actually deserved to win and had any kind of plan or identity. For me CIfuentes is comfortably the shitest manager we have ever had by far, and largely responsible for the team setup that got relegated.

Is this not what Martin is trying to do now, I am not a fan of his but that being said what he is trying to do is what is needed, I wish he had a bit more pragmatism in his style but he is trying to refresh the dressing room.

Hard to tell so far. He’s picked on a couple of young kids, but was happy to pull faes back in. A lot of the work in the summer was out of his hands, that was the club getting rid of people.

Time will tell. I think it will be noticeable if the standards have changed but if you are manager who sets a bar, it has to be for everyone not just a pick and choose situation. I don’t like Martin’s style of play but so far I have been relatively happy with his overall management.  I do think he could be a very good manager if he wasn’t so fixated on this bloody style

He seemed to hold back there.   It would have been interesting to hear him expand on the players too close to the owners and the squad not being built for relegation.   There has been a lot of conjecture about the culture of the club and if the players are too pampered.   Since moving to Seagrave, a lot of managers who have had some success elsewhere have struggled.  Rowett made valid points in that clip.   When he was appointed, I thought he would at least keep us up.  He failed to do so.  The players did not perform

I saw a quote about struggling to control Premier League winning players because of their relationship with the owner.

He better not be talking about his personal time there as we had no Premier league winners left except for Andy King in the coaching role.

I listened to this interview and I was giving him benefit of the doubt he was speaking more generally about the decline of the club at that point, but I agree with what other said- he’s saving face and the job was too big for him.

If Seagrave is too big and you can’t get players socialising in the same place, lock doors and organise it so you can. Ultimately, he was massively out of his depth man management side and tactically.

Enzo seemed to cope with Seagrave........

To be fair, he had way more tools as his disposal because we cheated and far less baggage.

Garry gives some insight to some players being too important to the owners and the training ground!

Dog shit manager, statistically our worst ever. Not at all interested in what he has to say.

For the first eight months at least, and with the most expensive FLC side ever.

How expensive do you think the Rowett managed side was?

Pretty close to the highest wage bill in the league if not the highest.

Marti and Rowett are dreadful championship managers, nothing to do with bricks and mortar.

What's he going on about title winners for? The only one at the club during his time here was Kingy on his coaching staff.

Hell there were only 2 fa cup winning iirc in Hamza and Luke left, Top hasn't been around enough to be close to those players

I wouldn't argue with that. I just think we have to be at the stage where we question not Seagrave itself so much, but how we've used it. I don't think the Maresca season in the second tier is proof that it's not among the 'cultural' issues at the club, and neither would promotion this season constitute that.

Rowett was very, very poor as manager, but his take on what was wrong isn't entirely worthless.

And if you read my posts you will see I agree, I’m just saying that under Enzo we cheated and had a much better team. No need to try to twist it.

My point is its nothing to do with the building.

Well, whatever. You said 'Enzo seemed to cope with Seagrave' and I went from there. I really don't think we disagree with each other, though.
