"We have to get back to the identity of Leicester, what type of football we should play and what players we should bring,” Top said. His identity is soft, small and weak players who pass the ball around and lose. This is a team very much built in his image.

If Russell Martin gets confirmed then I'm done and I've followed City since the days of Jock Wallace. For me this will be one insult too far by the inept little shithouse kid and his minions. Martin is the one person the fan base do not want and have made this crystal clear. After all of the shit, ineptitude and downright unaccountable blind arrogance they've dished up over the past few years, appointing Martin will confirm exactly what this bunch are all about. Not that we needed any further evidence! I love Leicester to my core, but like every relationship when it becomes unhealthily toxic, you just have to know when to walk away. I'm praying it doesn't happen and they finally see sense and appoint Dave Challinor, but I just have no faith left with these KP morons. 11
winteriscoming Posted 6 June Posted 6 June I’m hopeful next season. All this talk of Hannah Waddingham, Lucy Pinder, Michelle Marsh and Sophie Howard gives me hope. Not about football but it certainly cheers me up thinking of them.

Have some perspective. Manager ? Nothing to do with any manager we have picked ! I want the owner gone and gone for good I, and many others here have all seen enough, more than enough, the lack of CARE for this football club, season after season after season, is astonishing, truly astonishing. I cannot fathom at all why any fan would want to continue with this it’s not bad it’s appalling
Stuntman_Mike Posted 6 June Posted 6 June The thought of Martin being in charge is seriously depressing. If he happens to do well results wise it's still going to be turgid football with an arrogant manager I'd sooner see failing somewhere else. It's not going to be fun either way. 3
rugbyblue Posted 6 June Posted 6 June Not russell martin. Ffs! Lack of vision from the club. Is his the only name they know? obsessed with possession. Boring, aimless passing for the sake of passing, having an identity.....what? an identity of being unable to adapt, change systems, an identity of needlessly giving goals away from trying to overplay the ball and losing possession on the edge of our 18 yd box? Identity???? Fck off. The identity Brian little , o'neill, Pearson and ranieri had was one of never say die, previously unknown, misfit or average players playing well above themselves, running thru walls, giving everything , high tempo, high pressure.......that is an identity !!!! I can't and wont back russell martin. I usually say ill give people a chance....not him. Enough is enough leicester city. Get a fckin grip and give me just a sniff of the club i love, back !!! 3 1

Popular Post Cropwellfox Posted 6 June Popular Post Posted 6 June The ‘identity’ when we have been at our best over past 40 years plus has been players with big points to prove, not fancied or backed elsewhere, a squad ethic, running hard and fast, playing quite direct, wingers running at full backs from deep, guts, bravery, energy and commitment. Togetherness and us against the world. The identity we seem to be obsessed with now couldn’t be further away from any of that. Until these arseholes are all out of our club we aren’t getting an identity to be proud of back, it’s so utterly depressing. 6

I said this last season we need to go back to that way Pearson era sign players who are hungry and have nothing to lose no one to impress and gives 110% bought togetherness as know one was better than anyone.

Have some perspective. Bit late for that, we're a year away from financial oblivion and that scenario playing out anyway. And the club's answer is apparently to sign a perennial failure, who a huge subsection of the fanbase already hate, to spearhead a total rebuild of this carbuncle of a squad? It's criminal negligence. LCFC is on fire. Meanwhile Nero is fiddling while Rudkin and Russell Martin feed him grapes. Fans wishing for Admin to remove this leech of an ownership aren't unreasonable at this point. The club's very existence is at stake the moment those parachute payments run out in 12 months' time unless we are promoted at the first time of asking - we're not talking administration, we're talking potential winding-up orders. Everybody loses their jobs in that scenario regardless and we all lose our club. That's your perspective. Edited 6 June by OntarioFox 9
fox_up_north Posted 6 June Posted 6 June I left this thread expecting Challinor. Come back to Martin. I'm terrified what happens next time I log in.

We end up with an owner or consortium who even with a half heated approach would be miles better than this chaos, seriously it really couldn’t be any worse than this. Look at the state of it 6
CarolinaFox Posted 6 June Posted 6 June (edited) Really disappointed is an understatement. We needed a rebuild with a new face and someone we could get behind. This feels like the summer we appointed Cooper. A train wreck in slow motion. Totally surprised if this happens. Martin is not the guy I thought McCarron would go for at all. If they hire Martin they need to put their money where their mouth is and give him the team to succeed. I don't want this brand of football, but if that's the direction we're going we better do it right. Edited 6 June by CarolinaFox
