Times like this I'm truly grateful to have non league on my doorstep to distract me.

Never mind that on current trajectory they could be in the same league as Leicester in two years' time, if not potentially a tier above 😅

Can i just ask, what is the actual beef with leicester fans and russel martin? Is there a deep hatred or is it just that hes a bit of an arrogant *****? He should be able to do a decent job for us in league 1 really... i just want an appointment asap and get on with re-shaping the squad!

I’m keen to get someone in and reshaping the squad, too… but the combination of Martinball, with Glover’s keen eye for talent that’s currently employed by Southampton, and Rudkin’s inability to negotiate effectively or operate a fax machine, this summer is just a bin fire of red flags… and that’s before we sell our saleable assets to be able to commence the badly needed overhaul. I’m ****ing dreading it.

Also, we smashed his Southampton side twice in the Championship… and that was the good part of his career. His time at Rangers. His time in the Premier League. His teams’ defensive records - just look at the mess we’ve been in defensively, and this guy is the answer?!

John Rudkin is a complete moron.

Literally Mr Bean.

That’s ****ing slanderous.

Mr Bean brushed his teeth on the way to the dentist while driving his car. He got undressed on the beach without being seen. He brought a man back to life with a lamppost and some jump leads. He has street smarts and an ability to multitask in unexpected ways. Socially inept maybe, but a genius in his own right. He also knew what his budget was for his birthday lunch at the fancy restaurant and didn’t spend more than he could afford.

The club would do well to learn from Mr Bean.

Listen I’m not the smartest tool in the kitchen but “slow” is a bit mean, and I can get angry with the best of them.

Some of the saints and rangers opinions on him and his style are a tough read. Having said that, he did take saints up to the prem - that’s the only thing I’m hanging on to.

Should we be grateful to have him managing us in league 1 when he’s probably a championship standard manager? I don’t know… maybe.

would much rather have Channilor, but that would bee to much of an astute appointment for the club so that would never happen.

he will either do really well, or be a complete and utter car crash, up-hill battle from day one with fans

Another straw - Martin is in talks with other clubs! C'mon, surely someone abroad might not have heard about him, or is OK with his crap style of football!

He's in talks with other clubs in the UK & Europe, please don't let on what we think of him!!

Even Hannah Waddingham couldn't have picked a worse appointment and she went into Richmond purposely trying to tank them to spite her ex-husband. I genuinely feel like Top is doing this to someone for similar reasons at this point.

About the only similarity between Ted Lasso and Brussell Martin I can think of is that their appointment is sure to be followed by the fans calling them w*nk*rs. There will be no redemption arc for the latter, just misery and the club being run out of existence as it rots in the third tier (or worse). Oh, and Roy Kent would eat this twat for breakfast.

Will be the first time ever Alan Nixon was right about something.

Disappointing thing is he gets more accurate about us the lower the club is in the football league. When we had that long run in the PL, he hardly got anything right about us. We've just got to hope he's also right about potential new ownership as well.

Maybe he's learnt from his Rangers experience

He hasn't,  he still thinks he's  a competent  football manager.

As for the people employing him..........

I mean, he’s been abit of a car crash since he got Southampton promoted, however…he does have that promotion on his cv in a league most would argue is probably the hardest league in the world to get out of, and he’s done it.

His competency is still probably riding on that fact.

What identity is he on about?

"We have to get back to the identity of Leicester, what type of football we should play and what players we should bring,” Top said.

Not even remotely surprised. Only our board could pull back on appointing a manger seemingly because our fans explicitly broadcast at a game how much they dislike him...and then 12 months later appoint him anyway.

Aiyawatt, Rudkin, what the actual **** is wrong with you? Do you have brains like sieves? What exactly is it going to take to listen to the fans and do the right thing, for once?

Wouldn't be surprised if their attitude was "we listened to you and you got us relegated, we'll do it our way".

And all we need to do is give him time, trust his tactics and the same players that will be playing exactly the same way and making the same mistakes as they have been for two years.

Never before has a man made so much money, for so long, from a single decent run of form.
