Probably

bit also flipping that view point, if for example Martin wins us the League One title or gets us promoted let’s say (regardless to how fanciful that is), will those currently disgusted at this appointment be cheering and clapping Martins name at the end of the season, I bet they will be :giggle:

#fickle springs to mind

I wanted Challinor by the way, I guess we just see how this goes is all we can do

It’s the minimum I’d expect of any manager we appoint next/this season.

We should be outright favourites by some distance.

Oh how we will eat our words if Martin gets us promoted from the lowest division we’ve ever been in, it will cement his reputation as a genius!

Even if we got back to back promotions with this cretin I would still hate him. His style of play is what makes me not want to watch football anymore. He’s feeding you shit and telling you it’s ice cream.

You might not eat your words but you know full well many will  come on ffs you know how many fans operate

I can’t say I’m satisfied with Martin appointment if it gets confirmed, personally Challinor is literally for the taking or we should have moved quicker on Skubala, 2 options I’d have preferred

But if it’s to be Martin then it is what it is I’m afraid isn’t it

This is a never-ending nightmare, isn't it? They genuinely seem to be doing everything that we all cannot grasp.....and yet over 22k season ticket renewals.

The renewing is obvious,  i dont want to loose mine or end up on a waiting list.  So i will have to bare with next season,  ill probably miss quite a few games, as i live Oxfordshire.  But its muscle memory aswell, Saturday is trip to leicester day with the kids ect.  Next season is really gonna suck.. and even if we completely doninated the league and win every game,  its still not really going to be enjoyable pasting teams you know you really should....

But i got a gut feeling its gonna be a slog though

My gut instinct is that results wise he will do fine in League One, and AFAIK he typically signs players with potential, I just cannot stand the sight of us going in a giant horse shoe around the pitch for 5 minutes, with 50 passes going from GK to the CBs, over the the Left Back, who puts it to the Left Winger, who turns back and passes it to the CM, who passes it to the CB, who pass it to the Right back, who passes it to the Right Winger, who turns and passes it to the CB's, all at a snails pace whilst the opposition (who we are supposed to be tiring out) are literally walking around the pitch, and we end up having to face a deep block that we struggle to penetrate all game before finally a bit of class nicks us the points late on.

I watch this sport to be entertained. Winning is nice, but if the game was rubbish to watch for 90 minutes, but we nicked a winner at the end, that win doesn't make it entertaining for me.

I literally can't think of anyone if like less.

His only achievement was getting Southampton promoted through the play offs, but they should have been much better that season than they were.

I'd honestly prefer just to give it kingy rather than this arse. I will be done if this gets confirmed.

May as well just play in red and white stripes at this point!! Another shambles of a decision to add to the ever growing list. Still, if he brings Lucy Pinder with him, we might see two up top for the first time in a while!

I didn't think I could be more disgusted by our owner and R*dkin but f*ck me they've done it again. They've no interest in listening to the fans, they are ostriches, though I doubt chubby little top has the flexibility to bury his head in the sand. R*dkin actually still looks quite limber in his tracksuit and might accomplish it.

 Pinder and Howard

Those were the days, shoving their pictures under my bed, only for a bed removal company to find them 15 years later

The only reason it worked under Enzo was because we had players like KDH, Ndidi, Vardy, Hermansen etc.

This will be a complete failure like every other descison they have made.

Russell Martin. I don’t think I’ve ever heard him say anything intelligible.

Another Top Masterclass.

He was after

Would at rangers and awful in the prem even worse than us it's ok passing the ball around trying to wear a team down but need very good players to do it with someone like Martin in charge go 1.0 down and you are screwed

I am normally quite positive but this feels like a terrible decision.

Firstly, I have supported leicester for as long as I was aware we had a team (about 40 years) and leicester citys identity has always been high paced aggressive football. My experience is that leicester fans are much more forgiving of hard working players who play with intensity over slower more technical players. Russell Martin is likely to bring slow passing football.

Further, almost every fan is already off side with this appointment. In a time where everyone is offside with the club generally, a controversial appointment is not a great idea.

Thirdly, his record is at best poor. He seems to have one significant promotion with Southampoton. Outside of that he has played slow ineffective football.

Then the rumors he has a number of offers and its not a certainty! I just can't see it!

It just seems like a really really bad move.

But hopefully if it does occur I am massively wrong.

No one with half a brain would hire Brussel that's why he is even considering coming to us. He has spectacularly failed in almost every job he has ever had and even in the one season he did ok at Southampton we still beat them 9-0 on aggregate

Only Top and Rudkin would be stupid enough to do this

we spank them 9-0 and sign half the defence from that game

Beat them 12-3 across three games, sign a midfielder who played in all three games and go for the manager as well

He'd have been by far the most eloquent in the room for his interview.

"So... we promote this season?"

Lets risk the existence of Leicester City on a manager that has a habit of causing disconnection between fans and the club when we are already more disconnected than EVER. If they appoint him, i'll support him, I have to we all know the consequences if this fails but I hate everything this club stands for right now.
