what is the strangest thing that has ever happened at a match? About 20 years ago I was refereeing a girls U16 game when a helicopter made an emergency landing on the pitch. Beat that!

Leicester 4 - 0 Forest, unsure of the year, but it was when Beckford played.

A bloke in my section stripped off to a vest and boxers. He was caught on SkySports lol

Strangest things I’ve seen:

A bloke getting fully naked and laying down in the away end after Gradel’s equaliser at MK Dons.

A bloke take his shoes off and put them under his seat and watch the entire game in his socks - St James’ Park but I can’t remember which game.

A bloke getting his half time snacks out at Selhurst Park and his snack of choice being a whole carrot.

Very Coach 1

Not necessarily strange but funniest was when we invaded the pitch at Huddersfield away to see my mate running around with blood streaming down his face

He’d tripped over the advertising hoardings and face planted the ground before carrying on on to the pitch

This isn’t strange but randomly popped into my head. Didn’t kasey mcatter punch or slap a Stoke player and didn’t get sent off a few years ago I might be wrong lol

David Nugent catching a stray squirrel away to QPR.

Running round joyously and enthusiastically, fluffy haired, twinkly eyed with a wide grin showing ground down teeth, Nugent was a centre forward in the Pearson era.

According to Fossils and Foxes in its brief cameo the squirrel covered more ground than Ayew has in his City career ranking it a place above in our player rankings.

.

Pedant alert- he didn't catch the squirrel.

The Leicester fans who climbed up to the floodlights at Oxford, during an FA Cup game in January 1988

I watched a game at Birmingham from 10 ft up the floodlight structure back in the 60s no one bothered us.
It was the same game when it was really hot and a bottle of drink was being passed around only for people to find it was piss.

Oh yeah, it was more like he chased it off wasn’t it? I remember the Mexican stand off bit where they tried to outwit each other (the squirrel won)!

A couple of weeks ago, in a game against Watford. The other team didnt put the ball into our net.
Not sure what happened or why, they just didn’t put it in.

I think the history books refer to this as a "clean sheet". An archaic idea of not conceeding in a game of football.

Leicester won a game and kept a clean sheet!
