A bit surprised that Ranieri hasn't been mentioned anywhere with the 10-year anniversary.

I'm only going because Ranieri is going to be there.  🥰

He definitely won’t be playing due to currently being injured

Don't think he would've returned anyway, due to how he left the club at the end.

Hes been to the ground a few times, and had many years here. I would have been surprised if he hadn't

Why would Kante & Mahrez even risk playing in this so close to the World Cup?

The club is so cursed they’d probably both somehow tear their ACLs in the game

Why on earth did they arrange it for a date close to the start of the World Cup, and so close to a relegation that has left us all totally fed up with everything LCFC? It has been so hastily cobbled together. I would’ve gone if it was genuinely most of the starting line up  of 2015-16 involved, and it looked like there’d been some thought and effort put into it.

Which date do you guess this gets cancelled?

I’ll go 21st May

I dont think it will be, but i think folks will be moved out of other stands and into the west stand to save on costs.  Right now they are opening the cop up for 200 people.

Even with two stands closed, surely the costs of everything won’t be enough to break even?

Because I imagine they knew there was absolutely no chance Kante and Mahrez would play.

Not being funny but anyone under contract at any club couldn't play their insurance wouldn't let them.

I am struggling to think how it could have been planned and managed any worse.

This 10 year anniversary hasn't snuck up on anyone. We've known for a decade the date. Slightly tongue in cheek there, but it should have been announced at the beginning of the season. If they'd filled in a few of the details, most importantly the date, they'd have probably sold far more tickets by Christmas than it looks like they'll sell now, or even be able to fill without giving away for free a huge number of tickets.

Holding back a few names as a surprise is a well-known marketing ruse, but announcing nothing with less than a month to go about who will be taking part (other than Ranieri's managing and Morgan is captain of the Leicester team)  is only a sure fire way of guaranteeing you're going to get virtually no interest. As people assume (and the club can't blame them for this) if you're not mentioning at least 11/22 of the players by now, then with possibly a couple of exceptions, it's going to be a real scraping of the barrel line up. Which is directly the cause of poor sales - they've not given anything to get remotely interested or excited about.

About the only way to salvage something now is to accept that they've lost and turned off many of the fan base they've taken for granted and treated so badly. Frankly, the entire Comms and Marketing team should be fired.

As it will need a rebuild, approach this "celebration" as looking more forward, not back. Take advantage of the new ST holders, who have picked up tickets because they want to build a family and friends tradition of going to see matches together, which they couldn't do before because STs weren't available. As someone else has suggested, have a Leicester PL winning team v the Academy. Have training sessions or mini matches with all ages  - mainly kids would work best, and they can say that they have played football at LCFC's stadium. If it's done in the right spirit, make the adults match very much a fun thing that isn't taken seriously - get local club/amateur teams/fans to see how they really do stack up against former PL standard players and good academy players.

Got to be better than an XI a side filled with players hardly anyone wants to watch. So get the fans involved in doing something on the pitch that is a unique opportunity.

That's about the only positive approach I can think of now.

Two senior members of the macromms team were promoted in the recent restructure… so don’t count on them all being fired. Jobs for life as always lol

The thing is half of it is brought on themselves.

Word goes around Feb/March that the club have organised nothing for the players in a celebration.

Club think hold up we’ve got to do something here. By the time, it’s finally confirmed it’s in the midst of a relegation battle and most just want time off from the club.

If they’d announced March, they’d have at least 15k sales in my opinion.

It’s just incredibly poor organisation and marketing. I’m feeling sorry for the players who’ve been part of the organisation and someone like Ranieri coming over.

And offer some sort of early bird deal to insure against rubbish numbers if we were relegated

Wouldn't surprise me this being cancelled with not many tickets sold.

What, and the Nepo Baby missing the excuse to concoct an "lap of the pitch" opportunity waving to his 'adoring fans'

This is an ill thought out vanity project for the waddling little turd, dressed up as charity event.

Its a weak attempt to distract from relegation.

Yes it was mooted as a possibility at the Athena event, so it's too good of an opening not to run with it.

Horrendous seat sale number's show how out of touch he and the club are with the fanbase on this, however the club market it, and not even the small group of posters here on Foxestalk who defend him, and the clubs incompetence can argue really with the numbers.

People just don't want to go, think it's a sh1t idea, plain and simple as that. So it still looks like 90% of the fanbase is a hateful bunch who needs to question whether they are attending matches next season....  Shame on them 😛
