My missus hit the nail on the head when she said that since When your smiling has been sung before the games, the team performances have been bloody awful . It's time we stopped singing this.

Any suggestions for a new song to rouse all the pensioners (and others) pre match.

A song pre game is not the reason we've been shite. In fact, the song itself was actually starting to take off before we continued to create a player/fan divide. 

 

We need a new owner and a club with direction, not a song.

You may jest but if you had 20k plus fans belting that out before the game its actually a more upbeat song than "when you're smiling".

 

There's a few clubs that have a similar 70s style singalong song over the tannoy pre match, however much of a dirge it may be.

We started getting good when we buried Richard III. Then we cocked it all up by putting the King Power statue outside the stadium. Check the dates. Richard is pissed and now we’re cursed until someone else gets killed in battle. 

 

Now if someone could mock up an image of Top, thrown from his horse during polo, finally coming to the realisation that he has ruined the club and signed the worst strikers we’ve ever had, and saying ‘My kingdom for Geoff Horsfield’ - that would cheer me up until then.
