Join us live on Wednesday 27th May at 7:30 pm to hear the results of our End of Season Survey (taken by 4,413 supporters) and the calls to action we’ll be taking to the club.

 

We'll be live streaming the results on YouTube so that anyone can hear the key themes and access the full survey data. This is open to all LCFC fans and you do not have to have participated with the survey or be a Foxes Trust member (reminder, however, that you can become a free member here) to attend.

Quick question as someone who recently joined the Trust as a paid member. Why are the results being presented to the club before the Trusts members? Surely it would make more sense to present to members, gather feedback and then present to the club. There may be comments or guidance members can offer on how best to communicate and hold the club to account which could be highlighted before any such meeting. Feels like a missed opportunity presenting to the club first and they really don't deserve the courtesy given their attitude towards the fan base.

The club rep will just be doom scrolling on their phone so I wouldn't worry too much

There are arguments both for and against the Club seeing the results 24 hours in advance of them going public.

 

Last year we went with the approach of the Club not seeing them until after we'd presented them publicly and we didn't necessarily gain anything by doing it that way round. How it played out in reality was that some media coverage on the survey results was actually delayed because journalists approached the Club for comment on the findings and they had to see them, digest and determine their response. They weren't going to publish pieces on the survey without also including a comment from the Club.

 

This year, we've decided to let them see the results a day before they go public. Ultimately we want the Club to engage and take action off the back of these results. If presenting a small olive branch of giving them the opportunity to see what's coming their way - especially when this year we have a proper press release going out to every national and local media contact we have - then it's worth it. The timing of the survey closing and the results being shared was pretty intentional to hit a period where the Premier League season has concluded, the World Cup hasn't started and there is likely to be coverage around the 5,000/1 match - so we've given plenty of careful thought to what happens and when.

 

We have already gathered feedback on the survey data and Calls To Action that we will be sharing - firstly via our Working Groups, secondly via the survey design experts that helped us with the set up of the survey originally and, thirdly and finally, we've also passed all of the potential Calls To Actions and survey data through AI to check our approach is valid. If we went out to the membership to say what should we push to the club and how, we'd get a range of differing views and that's not necessarily going to be productive when we need to pick our battles and go with it - not everyone will agree with all of our Calls To Action, and that's fine, but they are absolutely statistically valid.

 

Our hope would be that the next 24 hours isn't our only engagement with the Club on the survey results so Trust members will still have the chance to feedback and shape the dialogue with the Club going forward but hopefully the above helps people to at least understand why we're working things the way we are. We know we cannot please all of the people all of the time!

In fairness, I was burnt out after a terrible season so haven’t really engaged with football for a few weeks. I‘d like to have filled this in with hindsight, 

 

I listened to the BSLB podcast yesterday and I thought whoever represented the @Foxes_Trustspoke well. Making a valid point that you can now register as a free member, which I will take up.

 

I’m going to do this today.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for the survey, I filled it out myself and hope that it gets some traction with the club

 

However, there will be a large majority that dont know the survey exists for various reasons ie. too young to have emails, not Internet Savvy, not on forums or social media etc

 

Based on comments seen on social media some wont do it as they dont think it will achieve anything, some wont do it because they dont agree with it

 

I think 4k is a really high uptake for a survey. Even out of 30k+ it's a really

good conversion and a better response rate (from what I've read before) than any the club has had on their own surveys
