Sorry, just can’t find this acceptable - our owners are largely inept but they’ve not done anything like this:

We should swoop in, he's a perfect match for us considering we're wanted at the Hague for crimes against football.

We also have a fan base that will regularly fill out the KP if performances on the pitch were sorted.

We have some academy prospects, who if can fulfil their potential, the fans could really buy into.

Sorting out the boardroom is a must. Still unclear if the new tech director will allow this, but if we can move to a better data driven model a still believe that we have the right foundations for someone who wants to invest. We are known all around the world (everywhere i travel they love our story). With the right people behind us we are a very marketable club.

100 per cent agree

We have to be the most self deprecating fan base in world football. We're the 6th most successful club in the country this century ffs and people go on like we're Burton Albion.

What do we own. A few young players.  We don’t own stadium or training ground but we got a big loan to the bank.

Come on. I know we're on a low ebb right now, but every fan knows we were punching well above our weight for a number of years.

Trophies are what fans class as success, but real success to anybody looking to invest is financial success. Are we 6th in that? Nowhere near. We flew too close to the sun...

I wouldn't trade the Trophies for anything, but the 'pull' of those successes have long gone.

We're more attractive than alot of fans are making out, but 6th most successful club is not much more than a poor sales pitch.

Without paying for a search. All the club owns is Belvoir drive. (No value as nothing can be built on it. Now not big enough with the womens teams) anyone under 18 we have few rights on.

So as you say fvck all.

As others have and will say this is exactly the mentality that holds us back.

In the modern era only the following have more credibility and achievement than us:

Man United

Man City

Arsenal

Chelsea

Liverpool

Weve done more than Villa, Spurs, Newcastle, West Ham, Everton and Leeds since early 90’s.

We are a bigger club than the Likes of Brighton, Bournemouth, Brentford, Palace, Fulham, Forest, Ipswich, Chavs, Hull, Sunderland, Wolves and the Sheffield clubs.

We SHOULD be in the Prem. We should be looking at domestic trophies year on year and the occasional foray into Europe.

We SHOULD be turning a profit using successful business strategies, afforded to us by the successes on the pitch. THAT is what attracts investors.

Nobody is looking at Blackburn or Wigan, because the stature is long gone. Unless you stumble upon somebody who wants to make a story of us, the only thing they'll be looking at is the bottom line.

This is the mentality that keeps us in the bracket we've always been in.

I'm of the mentality that we had an unbelievable opportunity to cement ourselves as a top half Premier League side, but we abandoned the strategy that served us (and Brighton, Bournemouth, Brentford etc) so well, selling assets whilst their value is high and scouting smartly. We instead offered these players contracts equivalent to those with 10x our turnover, choosing ambition. We flew too close to the sun. The FA cup win was a product of that ambition, but every fan knows it wasn't sustainable.

I'm not even knocking the club for that. Would fans be truly happy with top half Prem finishes each year, as a ceiling? Would you happily be an Everton or a Newcastle? Their fans strive for more.

Breaking the ceiling and pushing into the top 6 regularly is a gamble that any club, aside from those already classed as top 6, will eventually lose.

So tell me. Where would your smart money go as an investor, putting your allegiance aside, City or Spurs?

We’ve gone from the Top Midlands Club from 2015 to 2022 to joint 10th Midlands club in 4 seasons. I’m including Lincoln City in that group. Shows the terrible decline in the last 4 seasons under the current leadership.

Google Thai Human Rights Violations.

Google Thai King.

Google picture paraded at LCFC title parade.

Google statue of person outside the LCFC stadium. Who became a billionaire virtually overnight.

Google LCFC sponsorship over the last 10 years, including a “visit Thailand” shirt sponsor at our highest peak.

You don’t get a monopoly to print money (which they’ve ****ed up still) unless your sucking the cock of the guy ordering some pretty horrible things.

Let’s not take the piss here. Plenty of atrocities just by another, less scrutinised govt. I tell you what though, neither Man C, Newcastle or PSG have a pic of guy leading it paraded on the pitch in some sort of cult hero worship.

If instead people are saying, it’s a lesser evil - that’s a moral question not sure if I can say the same. It’s shit owners whether it’s Arab, Greek, American on Thai. The thing is, the other 3 seem to have some business acumen. As shown here and Sheff wed (perhaps even Cardiff) luck is very much needed for the Asian owners

I think I read that Thailand has a gambling mentality. We rolled the dice and lost.

They’re all owned by the King Power Group.

Stadium is King Power Holdings and on hire purchased to the club, extended until 2036

Belvioir Drive has covenants on what can happen with it.

The training ground sits as a liability on Leicesters book and has a book value of £40m from memory.

It’s not even about that. It’s the “moral high ground” some people try to claim. Oh Forest owned by a crook. The Arabs are horrible bastards etc. which may all be true. But pretending  the statue of the fella outside our ground who we treat as ****ing Jesus reincarnated and his idiot brain dead son are whiter than white is bullshit. They may be a lesser evil but you don’t just show up as a billionaire overnight and randomly with a monopoly in one industry unless you’re doing one of the following things: 1, turning a blind eye to it; or 2, actively working to improve the image despite knowing the truth; 3, a bit of both and then some more.

What people are saying when they say “not for me” when it comes to the Americans, the Arabs or the Greeks is that the lesser evil (which is still a ****ing evil) is ok for them. Which it is for them but let’s have it right, stop pretending they’re decent fellows who just happened to “do it right” to make it ok and the moment someone else with a slightly more controversial HR record shows up “that will be it for me”. **** me, an American journalist goes missing in Thailand for criticising the regime - all good in the hood. Same happens in Saudi. That is horrible bloody Geordies, how can they live with themselves

Post not aimed at you obviously.

Exactly. We are where we are on merit. Just like our successful periods, we were there on merit.

Well said. We both earned our successes and earned our downfall - one through a period of being shrewd and playing to our strengths, and one through a period of making catastrophic errors and not learning from them and making them again and again.

This is the kind of mentality that gets us to Trump, they’re all as bad as each other so let’s elect someone who indulges my prejudices. Of course there is sharp practice in business but what you’re seeing with certain countries and their leadership is a whole different level. You have to draw the line somewhere, otherwise it’s just nihilism.

Anyway, what we can agree on is our ownership are rubbish and hopefully there is some truth in the rumour.

You’re absolutely right - mentality of “our owners are not as bad as X” is the thought process that gets us something really bad. We have had the Thai king paraded on our pitch. Like WTF ? God knows who in the directors box. And pretending that we know what this lot have or have not done before is very dangerous. Yet we are the only club with one statue outside - not of a player or a manager but of an owner. Not of a star player who broke records (like Henry and Arsenal) or a front three who tore teams apart (like Man U).

we’ve been brained washed to think Vichai and his lot sat there and masterminded the title win. Think about it. His own son has openly said, we are little Leicester. Pearson, Ranieri, Vardy, Mahrez, Kante etc. all lucky to be part of this major plan. This Thai genius apparently. It’s bullshit.

And forget statues, Jamie Vardy our GOAT apparently - no retired shirt number. No statue. No montage. No stand named after him. Gone, nothing to see here.   Not the guy who broke the record that season. But the one statue we do have of an owner - arranged without question. And we don’t bat an eyelid. We have had an irrelevant king paraded on our pitch, no questions asked. Why ? We’ve already been used to “sport wash”. It’s disgusting.

We stand on sand mate. Don’t kid yourself otherwise.

Yeah great you call it. Start of this season i said with the pts deduction we would go down. Yes i said 12 but it was 6. You called me an idiot and I got a ban.

Are you going to say sorry you was right.

Or as you normally do act Billy big bollox.

You only ever agree or put others down ( like you did me)

Now have the bollox to admit you was wrong.

To all other members of FT I expect this to be deleted and another BAN

I am unaware of the issue, but could be my diminished thought process from good vodka... but I do appreciate someone who stands on beliefs... and for calling a significant points deduction and relegation very early on... kudos.... not that any of us wanted it
