Think a lot of peoples' frustrations are more out of desperation than anything else. We are feeling a little scarred from back to back relegations in quite pathetic circumstances. Champions with Enzo, down with a whimper, expected to bounce straight back up again, down again with less than a whimper. And now we languish in a league where we should have never been. That's football.

 

Chopping and changing is not only disruptive, it is expensive and we cannot afford such a luxury. And think about it, I'm absolutely positive RM wasn't probably our first, second or third choice. No self-respecting manager wishing to keep their reputation intact wouldn't touch us with a barge pole, and who can blame them? We are a mess from top to bottom, on and off the pitch, and Rudkin seems to call all the shots. On the other hand, RM has nothing to lose given his recent exploits too, and if it works out, great. But make no mistake, he too, has inherited an absolute mess.

 

And just to make things clear, I audibly sighed when we appointed him. It screams "scraping the bottom of the barrel", but that's where we are at. King Power are selling up because of troubles back home and they have no clue how to stop the slide. But I have to have the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, and I will still go as a ST holder and hope for the best.

 

We cannot afford to sack RM, nor the justification to get rid after 2 GAMES. And you have all seen first hand that Andy King,  despite all the goodwill in the world, isn't ready for management.

 

So to those early nay-sayers. Get a grip, suck it up, and get behind him. We have no choice on the matter. Other clubs have been in similar dire straits, stripped bare, and are now back in the Premier League. Who's to say we cannot do the same. The faith is tested, and may be misguided, but somehow we have to keep it in who we have now.

Total shitshow this club. I completely get the Martin Out discussion, we’ve witnessed years of decline so surely have become experts in sensing when something will end badly. 2 games in is too early, but there are huge red flags. 

 

Sadly tho, all managers have made it worse since Rodgers (except Enzo) and as someone already alluded to, there’s been one constant the whole time - KP and Rudkin.

I’m happy to debate people in good faith but being called a moron for not knowing the exact contract details of the players is not good faith.

 

The overall point is that we are playing over paid dossers that are happy to be a financial drain on the club and they dont even look to be bothered or good enough for this level. Its frightening and the early signs are there now just like they were last season. Instead people have gotten angry about pennies and pounds and are looking to slap people down with slightly differing opinions so yes i am going to clap back.

Great post, you echo all of my sentiments. I agree RM is our manager and I desperately want him to succeed. I just can’t stand watching a team get out worked by a manifestly inferior opposition. What makes the top top team successful is not just their better players it is their hard work to match their talent.

Tbf the first two the manager is now the manager of arguably one of the biggest clubs in the world having just managed one of the bigger clubs in the world prior.

Meanwhile RM has been sacked from numerous roles and starting life in league one. It’s not really comparable is it.

Hardly pennies and pounds, you’re over 25k a week out on salaries and £90m out over 3 years on losses.

Nobody is denying that things are bad but you have to discuss facts not bullshit.

 The owners are trying to sell up and we are t sacking a manager after two games.

At least two more players will leave and replacements will come in.
Booing the team at this stage is pathetic and more likely to affect the younger players than the likes of Reid and Skipp.

Each manager in isolation how many have gone on to better things or even similar level of club? (Excluding Enzo and he was poached)

I think this tells us it’s more about the appointment rather than a rash decision to pump the majority and not extend some

If it has got to the stage where a manager only gets 1 league game which he draws before people calling for his head then we have become a joke as a society. This squad is a mess and will take time to settle once window shuts. Going to have to ride it out for a while I'm afraid.

The truth of the matter is the team that played yesterday probably won’t be the one that starts come the end of the window.

Where is the evidence that i’m 25k a week out? If i’m being held to a certain standard then so should you. The truth is the figures are far more likely in the middle. Also our losses over a 3 year period were 180m up until the last report so again i wasnt 90m out. I actually said consistently we were making high multimillion pound losses per season but yes people want to be pedantic.

 

The truth is, if these players took a drop on their wages and you’re saying they are on 25k that means just 3 months ago they were on 50k so its unfair to call me a bullshitter. 
 

Anyway the point is, you’re happy to argue about the exact nature of the figures but not address the main point is that these players are being over paid and are putting in performances that arent worthy and they deserve to be boo’d. The time for patience is over, the future of the club is at stake, its sink or swim and we cant afford passengers, if they dont like the booing they can give up their lofty contracts and leave and everyone will be happier.

I wish the media would question RM on his defensive record as this is quite plainly his Achilles heel. His teams concede on average 1.5 goals a game - and I'm sorry but no team is ever going to be successful for long with that record. You could see it yesterday - a new goalie who is amateurish in all aspects of the job..and a statuesque defence protecting him...

A lot of these players were given contracts when we were a Premier League club. Its not moronic to think that once upon a time they were on that figure or higher. They might be on it now but they are likely on lower due to clauses but i doubt they are on insignificant sums and they are contributing to a situation that is unsustainable for the club. 
 

We cannot afford to be patient anymore. Performances need to happen, results need to happen. If they dont the club is finished. We are at the mercy of Maquire and they will not care what happens to this club they will only care about how they get their money back.

You've acknowledged that the future of the club is at stake. By booing, being over reactionary and a bit of a numbnuts would you say that you're being the knight in shining armour and fixing the problem or would you say that you're deepening the divide and actually making things worse? 

You shouldn't really have an issue with Russell Martin to the point that he's being booed at this point as truth be told, he's not really done an awful lot wrong yet. If your booing is aimed at the owners, well, they appear to be attempting to sell up as everyone wants anyway. So just for clarity, who and what are you so angry at that falls outside of those?
