Tbh I think we've been getting better throughout the season going forward. 

At the back we are always one mistake from disaster but going forward we're starting to click. We should have been out of sight at halftime in our last league game. 

I'm prepared to see what happens, there's some good signs and at least the football is starting to be more interesting than recent years, with goals possible at either end seemingly constantly. 

I think most fans now just didn't want him and area pretty pleased to focus only on the negatives - which certainly do exist - while refusing to acknowledge there's been progress with a brand new team.

May I ask how much time you invest in thinking about the finer details in football? One wonders if you're being very blinkered because how you come to the conclusion we've been unlucky not to win a few more games (I presume MK Dons and Barnsley) you have cleverly forgotten how fortunate we were to not lose to Notts County and hang on for the wins vs Plymouth and Stockport, all of which had as many, if not more goal scoring chances than we did.

 

Our stats are horrifying, in order for us to improve to the level some are willing to give him a chance to get to will take quite the improvement. I don't see the point in sacking him yet based on my total apathy for this ownership and execs but equally we are expecting automatic promotion which requires 90+ points which is over 2 points per game for the remaining 39. Martin's managerial record makes for uncomfortable reading there, so we may well be wasting time.

He has won 2 games out of 7! in league one.

Considerable.. look at the transfers we have made this summer. Very considerable for league one. 
 

What is there to change my mind then?
I only go on results and what we see on the pitch. Everything has been exactly as feared, and follows his pattern at Southampton and Rangers. 
he doesn’t coach defending, plays one way only and his own style puts so much pressure on players who can not do it.  That is not coaching and managing. He should be getting the best out of the players we have. Not hindering them and refusing to change.

Our wage bill is about £17m which is the highest wage bill this league has ever seen……

Being 13th after 7 games is a disaster….. and we haven’t played well, let’s cut the BS, we’ve had moments in games where we’ve had a couple of decent moves, any group of professional footballers would be capable of the same….

 

Why can’t people just admit Martin is dreadful, he’s not a coach, he’s an ideologist, and things will only get worse. Once we’re back from our break, and we’ve missed the opportunity to sack him, we will just carry on being absolutely shite, until eventually he goes. 
 

This team should be top of this league, what is holding it back, is its god awful, tactically inept manager.

It is very disingenuous to peddle this 'seven games' argument as if Russell Martin has just materialised out of thin air.  This is a manager that comes here after an appalling 16 game spell in the PL with Southampton with one win and on track to beat Derby's low point record.  A manager that went to Rangers and failed so hard he was chased out of Glasgow after 12 games.  A manager with four league wins in two and a half years.  A manager that we have seen, has brought his flaws with him.  It isn't 'seven games' it is a career of failure.
