Delighted with that fee, was honestly expecting other clubs to have our pants down and struggle to break £10m in the circumstances.

 

I completely forgot that Ipswich are our sugar daddy club these days. £20m is mad for a player who was good for about a month in a championship relegation season. 

 

Goes a long way to helping balance the books, even if Abdul wasn't actually one of the issue players in terms of wages (believe he was on 10k/week before this? So not very sustainable at L1 level, but nowhere near on a Vestergaard/Winks/Choudhury level of bullshittery).

 

Still got a few turds to flush, but the bowl is slowly becoming unclogged. Thanks for the Enzo season Abdul, for your sake I hope you learn how to beat a man again.

If everyone else (other than a very select couple of players) had actually bothered putting in any decent performances during the vast majority of the season then we wouldn't be so bothered about a young player coming off the back of an ACL playing with some absolute dipshits in attack and his form dropping off

 

Hope he smashes it at Ipswich and then gets himself a big move (and we hopefully have a good sell on)
