Not overly fussed.

It was coming. I don't wish him ill, it's just that the second half of last season was a real disappointment. I think his head was already turned in January, with some attractive offers.

Lad has talent and flair, but lacks consistency. Easily disappears if things aren't going his way. A bit like Mavididi, but not as obvious.

More than a fair transfer fee at this level, put that money to some good use (apart from covering debts) – and let's hope for a decent sell-on fee.

Likeable lad, wish him well, needs to toughen up though posting his ‘injuries’ on social media was all rather soft and silly.
I’m sure he’ll do better than Ipswich in a couple of years time.

Good luck Abdul. He came here full of tricks and fun and seemed a great character.

He clearly did not enjoy last season and all the spark went. I wish him all the best. He is only young. I would be surprised if he does not do well somewhere else.

Good fee to plug the back hole that financial incompetence has created.

Good move all round. We make a profit, and judging by how crazy the transfer fees are, Ipswich have got a good player for a decent price.

It's just so, so shit isn't it?

We are absolutely not in League 1 because of Abdul Fatawu. I know a lot of the yer da types on here consistently spew about how he isn't bothered or doesn't try but I've never seen that from him. Frankly, if we had a squad with his attitude and ability we'd be a Premier League team.

It's extremely depressing that untalented players are given far more leeway than any maverick like Abdul.

Good luck to him and I hope we've got a sell-on clause.

He spent more time trying to do everything himself toward the end and score screamers, than playing as a team.

Frankly, he’s so hot and cold and could be a 9 one week, then a 3 the next.

We need consistency like Mark Albrighton now with steady 7s every week, so just tick along and pick up points. We need players to rely on and as great as Abdul could be, he wasn’t someone you could trust as a team mate.

My KPFC rant is going to be out in full force, so apologies in advance.

The fact that we’ve sold Fatawu to an Ipswich side 2 leagues above us, and our biggest signing so far is their cast off, Chaplin on a free, really boils my piss.

I’m not against the Chaplin signing given our circumstances but if you predicted this two years ago, you’d be laughed out of town.

Times change and football is cyclic. The ferocity and extremes ofcthe cycle unfortunately caused by KP incompetence.

Was inevitable and if he finally gets decent coaching I would imagine he'll have a decent career.

However like all players that leave us, I will have zero interest in what follows for the lad.

It feels like a new beginning and the sale of Abdul just makes it a bit more exciting. New players, new manager and quite frankly forgetting all the crap that has flown with us for the last two seasons. Plus we now have 45 million in the bank with two new players and more coming who can give us the lift we need, plus, an exciting bunch of young players to add to the party. My connection with LCFC is starting to ignite itself again and I'm really happy that another sale has gone through. AF will always be remembered as one of the failures that have sent us plummeting.

Another gone!!

It's great that we are selling him to bigger clubs who have the money 👍🏼

Sorry. Just getting used to the "bigger clubs" thing. Do they mean Town ? 😃

See you next year.

He was entertaining and positive which can't be said for most of our football over the last two years. And young, so can be forgiven for some of his more naive moments perhaps.

Will miss him quite honestly.

He tailed off in the second half of the season (was still the only threat in some games like the winner vs West Brom, our opener against Birmingham) but so did the whole team, plus James was largely injured. He’d just recovered from an ACL injury too.

Most people despise Daka and Ayew so which is it, Fatawu tried to do too much himself or he should have passed to those clowns?

In the right set up he’ll absolutely fly, it’s a surprise he played as well as he did for most of last season given he had a finished Ricardo behind him.

He will have to get used to passing the ball to players that overlap, that’s if Ipswich continue with that kamikaze style. My Ipswich mate isn’t happy about O’Neil.

He was let down by the manager and coaching staff as they left him to his own devices even though it wasn’t working, and he couldn’t workout options like simple 1-2s.

Still can't believe the tractors boys came down with us with less points and got promoted while we got relegated.

The shock has still not fully sunk in!! 🙈🙈🙈

Completely agree and understand that football is cyclical.

However, falling as drastically from a position of power should stop anyone from having any love for Top and co.

Maybe he can repeatedly step in and shoot from outside the box for his new club, like he did for us.  If one or two go in, he'll be a Goal Of The Month contender.

Fair play, that goal from his own half last season was one of the best examples of that kind of goal.  Stupendous.  :appl:

It was a small bit of light in amongst a generally crap season (2 seasons) for us all.

Good luck to him, I hope his knee holds up.

These type of comments in my opinion, will age really poorly.

No-one can defend his drop in form, however, I’m extremely confident that we won’t have a winger half as good as Abdul for many years.

If we were a properly run club, Abdul would have been one of our superstars for years to come and at the highest level.
