I wish him nothing but the best. Good footballer, great character and a decent price considering where we currently are. Some great memories, go well Abdul 🙏🙌👏

He has made 100 appearances for us in all competitions, scoring a total of 16 goals.

Blew my mind to see he only scored 16. Felt like he had scored much more than that!

Probably Ipswich's choice. That's not a good price for them. Especially after they got done for McAteer, last year.

I'm a Town supporter. McAteer was not the sharpest tool in the box at the start of last season but he finished very strongly.  A useful player in the end.

I hope Fatawu does the same.

You have a good price for a youngster. I hope you use the cash well.

Good luck in Div 1. It can be a bugg.r to get out of that place.

As much as I did love him, not fussed at all. It's only when you realise you're selling him to Ipswich and not one of the elite it sinks it just how badly things have panned out for us/him

Wasn't part of the "problem" at the club, but since 23/24 it's been a disappointing time, after the 23/24 season I genuinely believed he would become the next 50-60m player we sold, he's been absolutely nowhere even close to that since apart from the odd moment.
From a buying clubs perspective, you've got a player who did amazing in the Championship, suffered a horrific injury, then came back and had a relatively poor season compared to his breakout season, in a lower league than you're buying him for. So there is a genuine risk Fatawu won't ever hit the heights we thought he could, there is a whole host of players who were brilliant in the Champ but flopped at Prem level.

From our perspective it's sad really that he was never able to recreate the form from that season upon his return, he deserves a shot at the prem and there is a huge chance he could come good for them, we profit from the sale so it's a win/win for us. There's no way he'd have wanted to be in League 1.

When Abdul is on it, he’s absolute dynamite, a joy to watch

Sadly it only came 1 in 6-7 matches for us

All the best to him, hope he manages to kick on with Ipswich.

Lost his way a bit last year, but hopefully new surroundings will be him the world of good.

£20m fee with £3m in add ons - and hopefully a decent sell on clause because they will definitely be able to sell him on for a profit

Can't grumble at that really

I didnt tbink it was a bad deal until I just heard about the summerville deal westham have just made. .

Football has gone

Multiple bidding clubs helps, as does 2 goals and 2 assists at the World Cup. Then it’s also a Saudi club £££ double the original offer.

Maybe they could give Rudkin a job

If it is £20m plus add ons that’s a fantastic piece of business in our current situation.

A likeable guy and hope he goes on to have a good career but let’s not kid ourselves, he was one of the players who made the most amount of appearances for us last season and was nearly as guilty as some of the others who have already left.

Last summer I really thought if we kept hold of him he’d score 20+ in the championship and he’d be the best player in the league….. I was very wrong

Good deal alround. With the right coach, he will fufill his potential. Not sure if O,Neil is the right coach, but he will have the opportunity in the PL to show his talent.

I wish all the best
