As far as recruitment, not overly impressed, but we've needed to then build a squad, attracting players willing to play in League One, with virtually no transfer money. There are other threads to discuss recruitment in: thread is discussing potential ownership, and they will have so many considerations, a few player contracts will be a very minor consideration.

I disagree that it would be difficult to to attract suitable talent to the club. That entire Burton team would be in budget and would jump at the prospect of playing for us for a start. A 3 year contract for 32 yo Burns is not a good move imo considering we have been burnt on aging playing being given lengthy, generous contracts. I was discussing recruitment through the lens of new owners and raised a valid question on whether such contracts would hamper a sale at all.

A house takes  three to four months to buy. Corporate purchases take between 8 to 9 months. 
 

Anyone of any serious interest who’s of decent distinction won’t go public. The earliest we will know is when they’ve been given exclusive DD rights

Any potential buyer would be best to wait. If we keep playing as we are we'll be relegated. The club will then be worth next to nothing.

The very fact that documents and brochures relating to the sale have been made public when this club doesn't let anything go public should give you your answer.

 

Let them do it all in the background and the less speculation and chatter from people who (actually ) know nothing the better.

Probably not even then, we'll probably know when the deal is signed subject to xyz.

Gut feeling that someone will pick it up on the cheap when the club goes to the wall

I know we want them gone but a rushed deadline isn’t the best way to get a good owner. A good owner would be dictating the terms to them …
