Kirsten Otchere was never going to start once we signed Cullen, doubt he would have made the 7 man bench.

Cullen has played loads of games as CF.

oh i completely agree, this is not about Otchere, its more about covering bases, even if cullen starts up front and thats going to be his thing,  in my head i would still hold of on sending Otchere out just on the chances of cullen getting injured, and having somebody to  at worse case fill the roll.....it more about how backwards we are when it comes to business acumen. letting guys go before replacements is just damn right stupid, unless they command a nice big fee.

yes more than likely, well i hope so anyway, but the point still remains, when your scrapping the barrel to let somebody go without definite replacements is still poor management, we never seem to learn.....Ings, Antonio, just recent  hopefuls (we seem to hope for the best and throw eggs into one basket and look confused when one or two break,

to me it just screams miss management still.

If Russell felt Otchere wasn't ready for L1 (he's playing in L2, so you'd figure this was his opinion), and a good move comes up, why hold up his season by holding onto him, just in case, knowing full well he's not in the manager's plans?

We also have Opoku, Hutchinson and Evans, so there's your worse case scenario.

Otchere hasn't played any senior football before, makes sense to send him out and let him learn his trade after a decent pre season. If he's banging them in in League 2 hopefully we have a recall option in January. If not then a full season at Cheltenham will hopefully do him good.

Guys just calm down. We always do this. You all start fretting and panicking when a foreign player coming here isn't announced immediately after some top tier journalist says they're having a medical.

There's obviously going to be more admin to it signing a foreign player plus he's going to have to get all his affairs in order at home, sort moving, talk it over with his family etc and whatever else.

It always ends up taking a few days, sometimes a week or so, longer than signing some domestic based British player.

Like every summer we go through this.

Agreed. Although most summers it feels like it ends with a headline of "Leicester pull out of xxx signing after deal gets too complicated to finish before the transfer window shuts".

It’s literally every transfer. Some need to touch grass from time to time.

Google suggests for a visa.
