If he does have a red blooded streak he's going to have to learn how to control it quickly in this league. Otherwise he'll be targetted every week.

 

It will start with the Opposition players who will quickly wind him up and spread to Fans. He needs to develop a Vardy type of exterior and wind the Fans up in return.

 

Looking forward to seeing him in action hopefully on Saturday.

I always thought Cullen was a centre forward so really don't get why RM would play BDR there, unless it's to show the board we need another centre forward. 

 

BDR is a decent pro and back-up AM or RW, nothing more.

Tbf I think we missed a bit of anger and passion up top recently, think it drives your creative players to make better decisions if you have someone up front willing to bite your head off.  Can’t imagine much motivation comes from Ayew throwing his I’m going to cry face in the middle of his Saturday afternoon stroll

Has Cullen played as a lone striker much? His games under Martin at Swansea was in a front two so that stats of him playing a lot at CF need to caveat that.

I was thinking the same, really needs to get goals and assists to keep his spot, needs end product. 

 

I hoping Mavididi leaves and Alves, Watson and Burns share LW and RW.

 

He is currently playing in his weakest position at RW.

 

I worried for him and Braybrooke. 

 

I can't see him not playing Cullen and Chaplin when they are both fit. 

 

But its a long season and people will miss games, I can't see Burns or Alves managing 46 games with their bodies. 

 

But the 7 man bench makes it harder, for me both need to cement their place in the 18 man squad.

Yeah it's frustrating. There has always got to be an element of any young player making the shirt their own but you have to meet them half way.

 

Having 3 10s in Chaplin, Cullen and Reid is unneccessary. I agree that RW is his weakest position and it'll be the excuse when he is dropped for Burns and at times Cullen will probably play there with Chaplin in the 10.

 

As you say, I think we can afford for both Mavididi and Reid to leave and not replace either as a LW or 10. Maybe need 1 more striker though and then Alves competes with Watson for LW or covers the 10 and RW role.

Agreed, I just don't think we can get anyone to take Mavididi or BCDR off our hands.

 

I don't think Alves loan at Huddersfield helped as he stalled, looked like he was ready to kick on after his Cardiff loan.

 

I just think he needs a bit of luck and gets on a roll.

 

Joseph and Aluko is an interesting one as we need both to get minutes.

That's rubbish, he's had 152 games in the PL with limited talent, so he's worked / trained hard throughout his career to get  that far. He's been professional at Fulham and nothing to suggest he hasn't here. 

 

We've signed him near the end of his career and offered him the wages so that's down to us, same as Burns and Chaplin. 

 

He's worked reasonably hard for his position in a shit team, in a toxic environment, not refused to play or play in certain positions or been dropped for poor attitude and has a similar goal return to his time at Fulham based on gpg. 

 

Just because he wasn't a popular signing and over 30, it doesn't mean he's a mercenary come for a final pay check.

I think he did come here for his final pay check. I think anyone signing for any club whilst 30+ year old on a long term deal is doing exactly that.

 

Doesn't mean we should attack him for it but he was definitely coming here because we were offering a good wage on a long contract.
