But  point stands it not always straight forward against promoted sides our record in 23/24 in 6 games was 2 wins 3 draws and 1 loss.

Tried to not look at the post match comments before posting this. 

 

I actually feel that performance was acceptable. Football is fine lines and on another day we win that 4-0. 

 

MK Dons didn't really have any chances and I think where we are right now with Brussell Ball that wasn't actually too bad. We tried to get the ball forward a bit quicker (not perfect yet) but it wasn't a bad performance IMO. 

 

Hopefully when we get a goal then floodgates will open - our finishing so far has been apocalyptic.

If you assume we do finish this season even in the playoffs, we’re already playing catch up to those other teams who’ve had tougher starts than we have.

Braybrooke really should have had a couple, BDCR missed a clear one-on-one, and Joseph rattled the crossbar. We carved out more than enough quality openings over the 90 minutes. 

 

We signed a lot of players in the summer and it'll naturally take time for them to gel.

The young players look extremely promosing to build the team around.

 

Just need to sell the club now.

Stats suggest a typical Martin ball game. That way of playing has been found out without some quality going forward. 

 

I'm at the stage that I'm thinking any point gained before the window shuts is a bonus.

I remember wanting so badly to draw a big team in the cup during those dark ages post 2004. It was like the highlight of the season watching De Vries bossing the Spurs defence.

Playing against a side who will be battling relegation I would have thought, so we would expect a better result than that.

 

We desperately need a striker with some pace, mobility and a little experience in the 24-28 age range. Bristric is a different sort of option, but he doesn't make the runs we need.

Overall played well, really liked the backline and the midfield two. Someone needs to teach Bristric to gamble on second balls, and we need a back up striker and another mobile mid to back up Braybrooke and Page. Also don’t hate Thomas at centre back in this side
