Wouldn’t think lundstrum is fit enough yet - even for that but we do need someone to take the weight of the two youngsters in holding midfield as the game progresses.

Popular Post ElusiveEd Posted 5 September Popular Post Posted 5 September (edited) Having spent the majority of last season feeling like it was a chore going to matches that only intensified my hatred and anger towards the club I'm actually pretty up for this one today. It's all down to what the club have done with the in's and out's of players (especially the out's), within the transfer market but moreso what I have seen on the pitch so far with these young lads looking to fight and what is seemingly a coming together as a team as each game goes on. Long may this continue but a win today would bring back that hope and pleasure that this club has given me in seasons and times past. It's a shame it's L1 but I'm gonna make the most of this if this direction carries on. Looking forward to this and it's a strange feeling I'm not used to. Edited 5 September by ElusiveEd 8

That would completely take away all the positivity recently been built up. i would start Thomas at CB as he deserves his shirt but i can’t see him keeping it in the long term. If Lundstrom is fit, I would start him at 6 and play Braybrooke and Page as 8’s.

Couldn’t agree more and Russell deserves a far amount of credit for the turnaround, he is definitely giving me Enzo and Nige vibes. Would be great to go on a little run of victories to help build the momentum and the feel good factor that is just starting to gather a bit of pace. 1

I understand keep ball when you want to kill a game, obviously if you have the ball they can't hurt you and all that (unless you're playing stupid passes) But we really need to go for it more. Every time Alves got the ball and started running at their right back you could feel the positivity, it just adds pressure, wins corners, gets fans hyped up. That's what causes the confusion and poor decision making, especially at this level. Playing everything to feet slowly just allows them more time to regroup and get their shape. There's no need to create any self inflicted nerves if you're on the front foot. I know it's Martin's style, but we need to mix up the keep ball with being direct.
