Let’s get this straight, there’s some ridiculous and embarrassing takes on here.

Firstly, we absolutely deserved to lose.

Secondly, the ref had a shocker…utterly appalling and he most certainly influenced the scoreline today.

4-0 flattered Oxford, it really did. They didn’t play particularly well or create chance after chance. But we still deserved to lose the game.

RM’s tactics haven’t worked, aren’t working and they will continue to get shown up. Football has moved on and this is League one where the standard of player and ref is even worse than the championship.

There is a serious mentality problem at the club and that starts with Top and Rudkin. Players like Souttar don’t wanna be here and certainly shouldn’t be playing, let alone be captain.

This LT experiment needs to stop. Why buy two CB’s and continue it?

On the toxic atmosphere second half…on one hand I absolutely back the ‘RM, your football is ****’ as it sends a message to him and the board. We can all see it. But to cheer Wes Burns going off at this stage seemed off. I understood and joined in with cheering Ayew and LT off etc but Burns at this point? Didn’t feel right.

I didn’t want RM here and I do now want him out but while this owner and Rudkin are here, I do not trust them to put someone in place capable of a promotion push.

Im at a complete loss with this club and indeed Football in general. Dead club and a dying sport.

So which are the embarrassing takes? I can't work out from your post what your point is?

Is he shite or not?

I know nothing about rugby.. but is this a more enjoyable weekend option?

Asking for a friend

W**king off with sandpaper for an hour and a half would have been more enjoyable today

Mmmm. Take it from a man with prior experience, I'd rather watch Russ doing his thing!

Surely a match ban for the Oxford striker for his handball goal after what happened to that West Brom player?

2 game!

I’ve been largely very positive about the start of the season, the new players and Martin. Today was embarrassing though.

If we turn out another performance like that, so soft in the challenges and just letting players run behind with no tracking, he needs to go.

Hopefully only upwards from here.

4-0 didn’t flatter Oxford. Let’s not be sore losers. They looked like everything that we should.

I was there again and I thought it did.

We should’ve had at least one pen, probably two.

Fairer result probably would’ve been 1-3 or 2-4

They got to the line and crossed the ball, we get to the line and work it back to the centre halves. Riis looks a player but get the ball in the box.
When he brought Bristric on and took Riis on like for like I then knew he is not for doing something different 4-4-2 and pepper the box? Nah let the defenders have it instead, our wingers were largely ignored when available by trying to be too clever, this is not a clever league, work a position get it in, simple.

Not sure some people on here have woken up to the fact yet that all the bloody ref’s in  League 1 are shite. Ref had a shocker, boo fecking hoo. I tell you what he didn’t have, as much of a shocker as we did.  If we played sodding football and actually stopped with the pissy passy bollocks we’d take it out of the ref’s hands. I don’t want to hear the ref had a shocker. I want us to blow away teams - which we’re well capable of.

The most embarassing result in our history.

Reminds me of Norwich 1-7 Colchester all those years ago. Instasack for Bryan Gunn.

We clearly aren’t capable of that, we struggle to even put up a good fight.

The ref however, if he gave the foul on riis would have had to send their player off and at 1-0 with a man down I’m pretty positive we get a result, I think.

No it’s not unfair. People need to get this into their skulls. Rodgers, as a personality, is extremely similar to Martin. It’s not that they aren’t capable of tactical understanding or better ideas - it’s that they both put their branding first. Seeing this coming was even more important than seeing that these managers were going to make crap subs. Egos that big, ones that are more important than the club, ruin everything.

Frankly, I could have won the cup and finished top 4 if I was managing that Leicester squad, but that’s not the point I was making. You’ve just misread my post because you were aching to defend someone who took the Mickey out of you.

We didn’t learn anything. Pearson knew how important personality and character was, we hire people he would have nothing to do with and that’s as crucial as the lack of talent has been.

I don't want to defend Rodgers' personality or his final year or so here. It has a lot to do with why we are where we are now. But your comment belittling his achievements saying you could have done it is bollocks isn't it.

That's very hopeful. Good on you.
