The 26-year-old former Celtic and Sunderland midfielder is a free agent after leaving Scottish side Livingston where he had been on a short-term contract.

"There has been interest from Ipswich, Leicester and Stoke and we are waiting to see what develops," said agent Eamon McLoughlin.

The Foxes meanwhile have been drawn at home to League Two side Macclesfield in the first round of next season's League Cup.

Colin Healy is a target for several Championship sides after leaving Livingston.

The Republic of Ireland international is looking for a new club after his contract at Almondvale expired.

Healy spent the final few months of last season at Livingston, but he has decided to move on following their relegation from the SPL.

The player's agent Eamon McLoughlin revealed Championship trio Ipswich, Stoke and Leicester were all interested in Healy.

"Colin is looking for a new club after leaving Livingston," McLoughlin told skysports.com

"He is available on a free transfer as he was only on a short-term deal at Livingston.

"There has been interest from Ipswich, Leicester and Stoke and we are waiting to see what develops.

"Colin did okay at Livingston last season and he has proved his fitness."
