He's one for the future, already played for ENG U21's. There is the likes of David Thompson, Matt Jansen & Marian Pahars on free's, if one was to take a huuuuuge paycut, 1 would be worth a gamble. McAuley wouldn't have to move house should he come to Leicester I wouldn't have thought and the fact we've been pursuing him for about a year apparently would have an effect on him coming here. You've got to feel wanted if a club has been trying to sign you for a year, that's one of the reasons Berbatov joined Spurs instead of Man United. I also read on FoxFanzine that McAuley is very excited about coming here and it's almost a dead cert (although we've seen many of these fall through!!) I think even he knows that it is really too early to go to the Premiership this season. It's always best to develop in the FL because then you can become a more rounded player...
