Steven Posted 28 May 2006 Posted 28 May 2006 Seems like we are the only ones to have made a firm offer. Source Championship club Leicester City seem favorites to sign Crewe skipper Kenny Lunt on a free. Hunted by the Foxes? It seems that Leicester City boss Rob Kelly is closing the net on influential midfield player Kenny Lunt. Out of contract Lunt has been tracked by a host of Championship clubs including Wolves, Southampton and Leeds United. Although it seems that Leicester seem the only ones to make a firm offer to Lunt. The 26 year-old Runcorn based player has been offered a decent contract and a testimonial at Crewe but the lure of the Championship may end his association with the Gresty Road club. Lunt who has made over 400 appearances with the Alex made his debut back in 1997 in a 2-0 defeat to Swindon Town.
ThurmastonFox Posted 28 May 2006 Posted 28 May 2006 Looking good so far. I think thats what worries me the most, when has a transfer to Leicester ever gone good from the outset?
Luke_Leicester_Lad Posted 28 May 2006 Posted 28 May 2006 Lunt is at a good age. Ex Crewe captain too right? He sounds allright, good reports al round for him
Lichfieldfox. Posted 30 May 2006 Posted 30 May 2006 I think thats what worries me the most, when has a transfer to Leicester ever gone good from the outset? Matty Fryatt for one, Ian Hume also. Ban negative posts.

Stevosevic Posted 31 May 2006 Posted 31 May 2006 why have all these wednesday supporters got so much time on their hands to come on here and brag about signing some Crewe player. oh i forgot, they are all over-weight, unemployed scroungers. Sheffield what a dump!
Tarzan Posted 31 May 2006 Posted 31 May 2006 didnt mark de vries slot a couple past them last season. shows how good they are doesnt it. letting that lump get through their defence

My Friend lives on the same floor as Gareth Williams (who still lives in Nottingham - Canning Circus Flats). He spoke to Gareth a couple of mornings ago in their carpark and Gareth said that he might be coming back to Forest if Leicester allow him to leave! Sounds a bit iffy - the old 'the grounskeepers' sisters boyfriend knows ...' type rumour. If true, tho, I'm not sure how I feel about the idea. If we can get a decent enough fee to allow us to bag a few quality replacements, then I suppose it's a good move. If he's really as lazy and wasteful as people say, hopefully we can get shot of him.
loza15 Posted 2 June 2006 Posted 2 June 2006 Qpr midfielder Marc bircham is in talks with swindon town about a possible move as qpr made him avaliable for transfer near the end of last season. tommy doherty from qpr to leicester done deal! These are both on www.football-rumours.co.uk.

Ricey Posted 4 June 2006 Posted 4 June 2006 Micah Hyde http://www.clarets-mad.co.uk/news/loadnews...=TMNW&id=284529 Hmm, I've always thought he was an average/poor Championship player.
Manwell Pablo Posted 4 June 2006 Posted 4 June 2006 http://www.clarets-mad.co.uk/news/loadnews...=TMNW&id=284529 Hmm, I've always thought he was an average/poor Championship player. He was the differnce between the two teams at the Walkers. Would be a good signing, proabaley couldn't play him and weso in the same team though. EDIT: just read the article, has Cotteril gone barmy?
Stevosevic Posted 4 June 2006 Posted 4 June 2006 Reasonably good player at this level. we probably couldnt get anyone better so a good addition to the squad. How old is he?
madfox Posted 4 June 2006 Posted 4 June 2006 Burnley have put midfielder Micah Hyde on the transfer list, and City have put a bid in for him. *Joey's replacement* Good or bad?
Mark Posted 4 June 2006 Posted 4 June 2006 I've just looked up on Micah Hyde and he seems to have a major motivational problem. A Watford fan quoted as saying " i have never in my life watched a player so lazy". So if we do end up getting him, I wouldn't like to see him partner Williams in the middle. At least we've been linked with a player, but this doesn't fill me with much excitement.
The People's Hero Posted 4 June 2006 Posted 4 June 2006 He's got talent. Nothing special though. Think the motivational thing is more of a recent thing Mark, as he's been at odds with Cotterill I believe - hence the imminent parting of ways.
The People's Hero Posted 4 June 2006 Posted 4 June 2006 Although just noticed you said the comments were from a Watford fan Mark - so that considered, perhaps he is a lazy player.
