renards Posted 17 January 2007 Posted 17 January 2007 that's been mentioned by lots of sources, sounds about right though, just in time for the televised match on friday. maybe i'm just being cynical but i reckon it could have happened monday but it's all being orchestrated for maximum publicity. ANNOUNCEMENT NEXT WEEK NOW!!!!!!! what the fecks going on BBC NEWS just on Midlands today 6.50pm

Babylon Posted 17 January 2007 Posted 17 January 2007 ANNOUNCEMENT NEXT WEEK NOW!!!!!!! what the fecks going on BBC NEWS just on Midlands today 6.50pm What's going on is people like the mercury report that the deal will be done thursday, when in fact the bid document probably hasn't been received by the shareholders. The trust said they would post something on their site as soon as the document was received... there is nothing there as yet. Going from what the trust has been saying, I think it was expected to arrive today. If it's true about more delays I would think that the document obviously didn't arrive as expected.
Brummie-FOX Posted 17 January 2007 Posted 17 January 2007 ANNOUNCEMENT NEXT WEEK NOW!!!!!!! what the fecks going on BBC NEWS just on Midlands today 6.50pm But didn't it come out Milan's mouth that the deal with ' Definitely ' be done by Saturday's game v's Birmingham?
davieG Posted 17 January 2007 Author Posted 17 January 2007 But didn't it come out Milan's mouth that the deal with ' Definitely ' be done by Saturday's game v's Birmingham? i think what he actually said was that he expected it to be done by Saturday. This with his delay in presenting the fromal bid document is probably his way of putting pressure on the shareholders to make a quick decision leaving them little time to examine the contents thoroughly. He is after all, as we know a cunning business man, which wouldn't go amiss at this point of time in the life of LCFC.
Babylon Posted 17 January 2007 Posted 17 January 2007 But didn't it come out Milan's mouth that the deal with ' Definitely ' be done by Saturday's game v's Birmingham? He said it will be done by Saturday.. but, it wasn't clear to me whether he meant a final deal put in place and sent to sharholders, or whether he would have control of the club by Saturday.
renards Posted 17 January 2007 Posted 17 January 2007 He said it will be done by Saturday.. but, it wasn't clear to me whether he meant a final deal put in place and sent to sharholders, or whether he would have control of the club by Saturday. We are close," Mandaric told BBC Sport. "There are a couple of issues that need to be resolved hopefully in the next few days. "Definitely by the game against Birmingham on Saturday."
ThurmastonFox Posted 17 January 2007 Posted 17 January 2007 MM is at the match tonight. RL have also said that they don't believe that the deal will be done until NEXT Thursday
Louise Posted 17 January 2007 Posted 17 January 2007 I don't understand, Bill said that it would be a done deal tomorrow. I'll take what he says with a legume's worth of salt in the future! Hang on, do you think this means that the £25m bid figure is wrong too? Yes, I will flog a dead horse
lookwhaticando Posted 18 January 2007 Posted 18 January 2007 I don't understand, Bill said that it would be a done deal tomorrow. I'll take what he says with a legume's worth of salt in the future! Hang on, do you think this means that the £25m bid figure is wrong too? Yes, I will flog a dead horse You might be onto something, though. Be interesting to see whether it's really done and dusted before this weekend. Especially as Mandaric has himself said it should be done this weekend.

lookwhaticando Posted 18 January 2007 Posted 18 January 2007 A supporters group which holds shares in the club say that the bid document won't be recieved until early next week now. Excellent news. The Mandaric Bid thread will soon be number one as the speculation continues to mount!
Chrysalis Posted 18 January 2007 Posted 18 January 2007 To be honest I think all the admin talk is bollocks put around to make us think we need MM to survive. We have players to sell (who aren't on high wages this time), and I can't imagine our debts wouldn't be solved by the sale of say Kisnorbo, Hume and Stearman and some creative restructuring ala Derby (if admin couldn't be held off by that, then I'd seriously wonder what our board has been up to). Now, that could put us into a dodgy position in the league with the risk of going down to League One because we've sold our better players (although I'm not sure selling those three would really put us at that much risk), but it wouldn't put us in admin. Obviously MM is preferable to that scenario (if he follows through on his promises), but I'm not convinced we even have debts bad enough that we could be threatened with admin again yet. When I posted about us losing over 4 million a year FT didnt deny it and instead confirmed to others that the club is indeed losing 7 figures a year. This post would be another chance for them to deny it. Clearly doing things like selling our best players or a share rights issue would only be short term and cover 1 year losses then we would be doing the same thing every year, eventually we would be relegated without miracle management and ticket sales will also drop reducing income further, sorry but the situation is bad and its evident in the fact the club cant even sanction loan deals. Dont think we would get millions for players either I think our better players would likely command between 500k and a million in a transfer fee.
MC Prussian Posted 18 January 2007 Posted 18 January 2007 Today's the day then folks???? Not quite sure. Some folks say Thursday, others Saturday.

bold_fox Posted 18 January 2007 Posted 18 January 2007 Anyone got any ideas what the new complications are ?
MC Prussian Posted 18 January 2007 Posted 18 January 2007 Anyone got any ideas what the new complications are ? The doctors say the birth channel is too narrow. They're going for a cesarean now.
Jon the Hat Posted 18 January 2007 Posted 18 January 2007 If it was me and the deal was done, I would do the biggest press conference in the history of the club.... Here's MANDY! oh, and by the way here are 5 players we signed this morning! BAM! We won't know what has hit us! Make it open house, fill the ground with a few thousands fans who live close enough, get the press at the front and announce it to the world. I should be in PR....
