I predict deal done by February 1st so we miss the transfer window. Look as long as we stay up this year. Get the players in over the summer - it will be better then !!

Not a bad point really....

there is the issue that the Jan Transfer window elevates the price of players...

Maybe there is an argument to get one of two players in now, but then wait to really build a strong squad over the summer and get them all together training and become a team unit....

If it was me and the deal was done, I would do the biggest press conference in the history of the club.... Here's MANDY! oh, and by the way here are 5 players we signed this morning! BAM! We won't know what has hit us! Make it open house, fill the ground with a few thousands fans who live close enough, get the press at the front and announce it to the world.

I'm excited.

Initially I thought the same but after seeing the amount of cash that will be injected into the premiership prize fund after the oversea`s TV revenue comes in, we may need to do business straight away! Its amazing to think that Watford (or whoever finishes bottom) will get the same money as Chelsea did last season!! That can only be bad news for the Championship who will find it harder to buy players (no need for some clubs to sell) and will see increased bids for there own players.

Get in here MM!!!!!!!!!!

Remembering the final bid is still not in front of us, but from what we have seen to date.

Stadium wise - we believe the Teachers deal will just be maintained until we get into the Premiership. If we then stay there with the £m's from Sky money MM then may look at buying the ground (you could argue that the current board would have had the same option, but we have to get there first).

Shareholders - no payment up front, may not get all money back.

Has Tim Davies and Andrew Taylor been gagged from saying anything...even football matters during the take over?

:dunno:

Everyone involved has. The trust should not have even posted that as it is against takeover rules I think!?!?!

Mandaric's Foxes takeover delayed

Milan Mandaric

Mandaric left Portsmouth in September last year

Milan Mandaric's £25m takeover of Leicester is close to completion, but the official announcement has been delayed until next week.

The former Portsmouth owner hoped to have tied up the loose ends on the deal before their game against Birmingham.

But it appears there are still legal complications to be ironed out before the change of ownership can be agreed.

It is thought an official announcement confirming the deal may not be made until next Thursay.

Mandaric has become frustrated by the delay in finalising a deal.

Earlier this week he told BBC Sport: "We are close. There are a couple of issues that need to be resolved hopefully in the next few days."

Mandaric was expected to have made a formal bid for the club before Christmas after being given permission to look at the club's books in November.

But the period of due diligence brought up issues that have delayed matters.

"It's a frustrating time for me. It's taking so long, much longer than I thought," Mandaric added.

"The explanation from the lawyers is always the same: it's a public company, it takes time to satisfy the code and the panel.

"They are always issues related to commercial or financial deals and some unknown things I need to look over and make a decision on immediately.

At this time I'm not looking for a manager or anything else

Milan Mandaric

"If I looked at this as a business we would probably walk away but I'm keen to get back in football.

"Sometimes you have to close your eyes on some of the things because football doesn't always bring the clean-cut situation in a business sense.

"I'd like to get it done one way or the other as this is not what I anticipated.

"It's not at my end. It is something I need to overcome and I wasn't quite aware of. I'm not accusing or pointing the finger at anyone it was just something that was found during investigation.

"The price is not the problem whatsoever. It has been agreed."

Mandaric denied weekend reports he will appoint former Crystal Palace and Charlton manager Iain Dowie when he takes over - saying he has been impressed with current boss Rob Kelly.

He added: "At this time I'm not looking for a manager or anything else. I just want to resolve the ownership of the club and then look at existing structure.

"I'm not committed to Iain Dowie or anyone else at this point.

"Unfortunately I have not been allowed many dealings with the manager (Kelly) but I did have the opportunity to meet with him two or three times.

"He is a good solid young man who is a great coach and apparently gets on well with players and probably gets the best out of them.

"I don't know much about him or his capabilities but so far I'm impressed with him."

...............

"It's not at my end. It is something I need to overcome and I wasn't quite aware of. I'm not accusing or pointing the finger at anyone it was just something that was found during investigation.

As they say they've not yet received a formal bid perhaps it should be!

Is MM being economical with the truth?

Ps he's been saying that for over a week anyway.
