So basically the issue is that the squad is all wrong. They’ve stacked the team with bowling all rounders but the trick is to have batting all rounders. Every time we’ve won the thing we’ve basically had batters that bowl down to 9/10. Claude is clearly to blame.

Think you need to keep the local derbies for commercial reasons but they should have had it as six groups of three local rivals who then join up with another group of three to make six - then rotate each year.

Not a bad idea at all. What six groups would you divide them into? Im unsure which group Northamptonshire would fit into

They're the awkward one really. Lump them in with Warwickshire amd Worcestershire. Better transport links between Northampton and Birmingham than with us anyway.

I'm not sure batting first would have made much difference to the result. We'd have got about 160 and they'd have knocked them off in about 15 overs. We are just way off the level required. The batting lacks reliable power hitters, the bowling is inaccurate and the fielding unreliable. Losing to these so heavily is unacceptable. Bloke who has 4 wickets for them is basically a part time bowler.

Horrendous evening. What are we thinking? Absolutely being smashed by Derby is an embarrassment.

I blame Claude and Fons for this debacle, they have credit for the 50ov win and promotion however they have to be doing better than this. 
Poor decision after poor decision. Why on earth is Hull still playing? Where is Sol? What does Mike offer?

Tail starts at 6 what on earth is this rubbish, to actually put a performane in  worse than the previous poor efforts  is some doing with as pathetic a run out to finish, they should be issueing refunds

Not sure commercial reasons apply with Derby.Very poor crowd tonight rarely get a big crowd v Derby
