Unreal assault from Budinger. Brown's among the best in this format on his day. Biggest moment in the game.

 

Good start against a side who are no mugs if they get it together.

To be fair the umpire never gave him out so he was just waiting for the decision. Just stood his ground. There was no refusal.

Not the type of player to cheat either. He knew what he saw.

Superb start that.

 

At 51/5 we certainly gave them too many at 170 but a comfortable chase after a blistering start from the openers. Masood a class act and someone that you can see is going to be one that can hold an innings together, in all formats. Van Beek is one of the best overseas signings we’ve had for a long time, too. 
 

Every player then comes out after the game signing clap banners and having photos, fantastic for the younger generation that and class from the club to put it on. It’s little things like this that gets the younger generation interested and involved in it all. 
 

Really good feel factor around the club at the moment, long may it continue. Players happy to speak to anyone and everyone. 
 

Busiest I’ve seen it down there for a while at a t20 as well.

It would be interesting to see it back. Cox seemed adamant & there weren't many complaints or disbelieving looks from the Derbyshire players when he was given not out- odd, as it was a celebration rather than an appeal initially.

It’s a great offer. Bit harsh on the white ball pass holders but if it fills The ground so be it. 
 

Used these offers so many times last season I don’t think I paid full price for any game. Can’t make next week else I’d be all over it. Had to be a good 2.5/3k there tonight. Great to see.

County's small support has always been anachronistic. A largely white working class crowd located in an unfashionable white working class part of the city. 

 

The fancy dress middle class stag do bollox at England matches and the big counties with the geriatric scorecard scorers are a million miles from the basic Grace Road. And there's something kinda cool about our team and that type of support right now.

Spot on. The raucous atmosphere at the RL50 over final sums it up.

 

I have a couple of mates who have started keeping an eye on the county after years of not doing so and I bet it is spreading. We're going in a fantastic direction.

Budinger was mesmerising this evening, a real.privilege to be there to witness that; not aimless slogging either, a magnificent range of shots. 

 

Slightly strange to basically win a game in the first 7 overs of each innings... and then largely lose their way each time. I was hoping that Kimber would make a score tonight to firm up his captaincy credentials, but hopefully that will come.
