Absolutely delighted to eat my words. Brilliant win. Lost the toss, probably picked the wrong side ( no need for Scriven or Walker) and Jennings at the start wacking it everywhere. Then brilliant bowling in the middle and despite a poor start (again) from the openers, some fine batting from Cox Ahmed and Trevaskis. Massive to win away here, what a season it's been so far.

Not sure it's even really fair to be annoyed at Kimber's dismissal. His/Budinger's job is to get us ahead of the rate in the powerplay and he achieved that. It only needs one of the two to come off and we're always in with a shout.

 

We've plenty of good chase managers who can then do the business, as we saw tonight.

Didn’t watch the game so maybe he was naive but Kimber’s 40 from 22 is a commendable knock. He put runs on the board when nobody else had at that point.

So even the Lancashire spin doctors couldn’t work their way out of that one! Brilliant work from the lads including the guys up front. They all have their roles and executed them perfectly. Top drawer. Alfonso is a genius.

Definitely helped with a fairly lowish total, allowing Cox and Ahmed to just manage the chase

Kimber getting us ahead of the run rate was crucial. The others batted marvelously. Seriously impressed with what Trevaskis brings to the team.

 

And Cox is exceptional. Also a decent catch and great stumping. To go with Rehan's bowling, and batting, it's a top performance.

 

Have a read of the Observer article posted on here recently. The Lancs CEO mocking counties like us. They deserve all they get.
