The main suspect is set to be released next month.

To be honest, don't think there's much more than what the investigators have already done.

Gut feeling having read and followed the Bruckner court appearances and convictions, and the profiling of him, it seems likely he's culpable. But until a body is found and DNA analysed, I think it's all going to come to nothing, again. :(

For someone who has basically paid zero attention to this case for a while now..

Do they think the German guy did it?

For sure, but with only circumstantial evidence and him keeping shtum on the whole matter nothing more can be done. Real shame to not put this whole issue to rest now.

Understatement of the year but the whole thing is just crazy.

I sometimes wonder if I’ll check the news one day and the case has been solved.. highly unlikely

It's fairly clear that he is the perpetrator but there's a lack of real proof

From what i've read that isn't the case, which you would think would be the obvious thing to do.

Gerry McCann gave his reasons today. First they thought she was a chancer. Second, the polish police had told them she's a fake. Third, it's up to the police to conduct the investigation, not them

I get that, but surely as a father you would want to put the womans claims to bed in the most scientific way.Im sure if he asked the police to do a DNA swab they would and that would prove she is a chancer.

She has claimed to be several other missing girls, so why would you give it even a hint of credibility?

No point doing a DNA test with her because she wouldn’t accept the results anyway. She’s a fantasist.

What life will she have moving forwards, if given a jail sentence (likely a suspended one, at most) or not?

Don't know her background well enough to try and give her any benefit of the doubt (I.e., did this stalker's parents dumped her after birth and has lived via supported services ever since etc.?..).

This stalker case, alone, seems very strange - particularly with the younger-accused.

This polish stalker girl needs sectioning. Totally insane.

Have got some sympathy for her; in that she had/has been failed by local authorities from when she was younger.

The other person in court, who helped her get to the parent's house etc., certainly hasn't helped matters.

Fairly obviously the police did do a DNA test

I get you, but she's still a nutter. Unfair on the poor McCanns to have to pay the price for her lunacy.
