Seriously though I have memories from when I'm young, just fragments that I can't date without context. Weirdly I have memories of cloth nappies so that must be before I was three, but not any clear memories of locations. The earliest I can date is is at preschool just before I started school so around 3/4.

 

However if Madeline is alive she will have suffered serious trauma and probably blocked all this stuff out. Which is consistent with this woman's supposed background. Either it is all a cynical lie or an amazing set of coincidences or it could possibly be her. You'd have thought if it was all fabricated the papers would have exposed it by now, so just get the test done.

If she or the "parents" are stalling on the DNA test could the police and investigators not go into her "parents" background to see if they were in the area at the time of Maddies disappearance. As well as getting evidence like birth certificates,etc.

My earliest memory was on a small climbing frame in nursery which I've been told I only joined a year before primary school so couldn't have been other than 4, 3 at a push.

 

Difficult to know if someone would remember being 3 or not but if there were memories then being abducted at 3 would obviously be so out there that it might be quite distinctive to remember.  But as someone else said maybe a lot of that would have been blocked out through trauma.

i have memories from when i was less than 1 year old. I remember being in some kind of seat and my parents kept on putting something on my head. I remember they were talking to me but i don't have a clue what was said. We lived on a Royal Airforce base and i later found out when  my Dad came back from work  he'd walk in the door and he'd always put his  Royal air force hat/beret thing on my head.

So first step is a DNA test to determine her Genetic origin.  She has a private investigator helping her with all this and they claim there is ' strong evidence" she she was trafficked into Poland as a girl by a sex trafficking ring. Anyway, The first DNA test will determine which country she is from. Is there is any indication she is at least part British i think that's when her and the McCanns will be directly involved in DNA testing.

 

One major issue in all this is that she believes she is 22, but Madeline McCann would be 19 right now.  It's possible she's been lied to about her age, but you'd know  soemthing was up if you were a 7 year old in a 10 year old class at school surely?

Seems to be taking a very long time ………. of course the longer it takes to show she isn’t MC, the less publicity she gets. ……..

Just to send some normal blood work  off to a lab can take 14 business days so i wouldn't read too much into that part.

She went public a month ago didn’t she ?  Surely the ancestry thing would be done ahead of going public if it wasn’t a publicity stunt ?

well, we are talking about it aren't we? One way to get action and to get people to talk about it is to go public. That's probably the McCanns went public when Madeline went missing in the first place. Going public and seeking attention are two different things of course. If she is seeking attention she's not doing a very good job of it, as i haven't heard anything about her since the articles came out, not seen her on TV or anything like that. Not sure  what she's done to earn your scorn?  Shes got reason to believe she was abducted as a child, plus some dodgy behavior from her parents means its worth perusing from her point of view. I found out about a brother i never knew about last  year. So glad he found us..had to go public on a facebook group to do it....

Technically it was a publicity stunt she created the profile to get people talking and get someone to take her seriously and get her tested.

 

Assuming her story is even half true she has had a horrific start in life, most likely the result of being abducted and trafficked. Whatever the outcome of all of this I hope people remember that she is still a victim even if she isn't Maddie.

One thing that I've not seen anyone suggest is that she could have been abducted by the same people and for some reason that eye thing made her and MM a target. I don't know why it might be a desirable trait to child snatchers, but 2 young girls with same rare eye condition abducted is a strange coincidence. They were not just taking kids indiscriminately.

For sure, but there are a remarkable number of similarities between her story and what is thought to have happened to MM. Of course it could be pure coincidence.

I'm not going to try and second guess what goes on in the mind of people involved in this sort of thing. Some people believe really weird shit, if it's not MM then the similarities are an insane coincidence. Of course she could just be projecting what she's read about MM onto her own back story, she's clearly got a lot of issues based on childhood trauma.

she was trying to contact the MCcan’s directly but couldn’t get through to them hence the going public.  She was Wanting to  do  a direct DNA test. I’m not sure what’s happened but it seems like they are wanting her to do a DNA test to see what area she’s from first. I mean, basically she’s asking for a sample of  the MCcan’s  DNA  and they have every right to be cautious when someone asks that. This way, they get to see if it’s worth giving up what is essentially very private information. So, yeah, it’s taking time but we don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes so we are probably best to not jump to conclusions  first.  I’m also quite sure that thousands of people have attempted to contact the McCanns over the years so every bit of correspondence goes through an employee or legal department and analyzed to see if it’s worth responding to, that in of itself is going to slow the process down tremendously.

It would take some considerable time and resources to spot one girl of a similar age with a similar RARE eye condition.

 

Unless you're a paedophile optician who's examined MM and are willing to pay child traffickers to track and then kidnap a child on holiday in Portugal.

For sure, and it might not just be an eye thing, but any sort of weird distinctive characteristics. Who knows, it's just an absolutely insane coincidence if this woman isn't Madeline McCann but was, as is thought probable, trafficked as child, to have this very rare eye condition in the same eye and in the same shape.

It's possible. Time and DNA will tell. If gets to that point.

 

If it turns out to be a match I do wonder what the implications will be for her and for her parents.

 

There'll be a lot of unpacking to do, mentally and emotionally.

 

I can't imagine how the future will pan out for them if this girl is MM.

 

Emotional trauma doesn't even begin to cover it.

 

How does a parent and that child, re-establish the attachments already made from birth to MM's age at the time of her going missing? And who knows what other attachments she's made since and the implications and impact of those attachments on all concerned?
