Babylon Posted 26 June 2007 Author Posted 26 June 2007 A couple of Iranians found there way onto talkingballs and this is what they had to say. POST 1 "Dear Dans, I am an Iranian Fan currently living in Germany! I have been looking for forums related to Leicester City football club due to the recent rumours about Kaebi joining this team. Well if you need any extra information about him I am here if u guys want to know more you can always go to persianfootball.com (we as persian fans over there are delighted over this news and hope it goes through) Iran has had a good export of players to European leagues. - Recently we have seen Andranik Teymourian in Bolton Wanderers - Nekounam having a pole role in Keeping Osasuna a competetive club in uefa cup and la liga. - After 8 years of hard work Mahdavikia has trasfered to Eintracht frankfurt from Hamburg SV (he had offers from Spain and England, however he chose germany due to family reasons). ....and the list may go on to some other players However... there are several factors we always have to keep in mind about about importing Iranian players! First of all living in the UK for an Iranian whom has only lived in a country outside iran (United Arab Emirates) for one year would be a very difficult task, hence he has expirienced the taste of proffesional football through the world cup. If you have seen his videos before you realize he is a real ball fighter at the right back, however he has even played as an attacker recently and showed superb results. He will be having a lot of problems with iftting in and learning the language. On the other hand he is 21 and one of the smartest people in the "Technical" Iranian National Team! Extremely fast on the field with the ball and great team work! however needs more experience for Championship or EPL!! As a personal message this is a dream for me come true, i had never imagined my favourite iranian player playing for an English club! I wish him good luck and the best p.s. Iranian news papers say he is to sign papers this friday with LCFC (hoever not from a reliable source)" POST 2 "If signing kaebi does nothing else, what it will do is that Leicester City will have at least 70 million more people cheering for them. And although it may not sell many jerseys in iran, the iranians outside of iran will definitley buy it. For example i have my Bayern Munich Karimi jersey and i know a few people who have the whole collection: Teymourian Bolton jersey, Nekounam osasuna jersey, Mahdavikia hamburg jersey....and the kaebi jersey will surely be added. But not only will he generate a huuge amount of interest (LCFC is my new favorite championship team:D....if the signing happens)but he is really good too. He does especially well in big time games, like the world cup, world cup qualifying, asian cup games or asian cup qualifying, important league games...things like that. So he will succeed when you need him. He is also AMAZINGLY fast, fastest player on our team, and it is said he can run the 100 meters in under 10 seconds:o. And he can also play EVERYWHERE on the right side...right back, right wing, right forward, striker, anything. For such a young player he has a lot of experience...he was first capped for the NT when he was 16. Extremely popular player, and his addition to LCFC will do nothing but good."
Master Fox Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Well sounds promising, the Iranian people are great. LCFC is the only good thing about the west.
Gené and Tonic Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Really willing for this to go through now, although it's been rumoured for ages.
Lester LXXIV Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Really willing for this to go through now, although it's been rumoured for ages. The Chambers rumour went on for ages and he's finally signed, these things can sometimes take a while thats all...
Ric Flair Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Really willing for this to go through now, although it's been rumoured for ages. When you sign players on bosman's, it can take a while. There is usually more clubs interested as there's no transfer fee. Then it becomes a wages and signing on fee war.
He's not bald Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 70 Million extra supporters cant be bad Glad I got my ST early..it's gonna be a right git trying to get tickets for matches now!

Wow, there are some serious positives from that read, and by the sounds of it he is a quality player. I hope this goes through, i really do.
MPH Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Wow, there are some serious positives from that read, and by the sounds of it he is a quality player.I hope this goes through, i really do. we now need to sign a few young chinese youngsters and we will be rolling in the money. I read somewhere that there are more people learning english in china that english people living in england.... Just gives you an indication as to the size of the country. But seriously, i think this will be an amazing signing for city. We already have quite a large middle eastern presence in the city and this could get more bums on seats as well as having a quality player at the club goodness me! not to mention the polish contigent wearing a leicester city shirt with saganowski on it ! these players oculd bring in ALOT of money AND be good on the pitch! win win situation!!!!
Gené and Tonic Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Yeah we've had a massive influx of Poles recently, Hinckley's teaming with them
Stevosevic Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 The news on Talkingballs is that hes flying to England to sign for Wigan or Leicester, the Iranian lad that is, according to Iranian news, should be an interesting day. http://www.talkingballs.co.uk/showthread.p...9272&page=7 We've seen this link before i think.
Ozwin Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Come on Kaebi! I remember on PES5 he was awesome. I bought him for my Master League Team and he was brilliant, >_> so in my book he's a player we must get. Leicester look better than Wigan. >_> Plus he's young, Premiership isn't for him yet. Leicester City is multi cultural and Mandoric and Allen probably have the pursuasion techniques to bring him in comfortably. PLEASE LET IT HAPPEN!

PES not really the place to judge a player but he'd be a fantastic signing if we pulled it off. I don't think fans would be complaining if we managed to get him, Hendrie and Saganowski!
Father Ted Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 70 Million extra supporters cant be bad The Iranians of LCFC, the new Chinese of Man U.
Ozwin Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Oh it'd be a bright day in Leicester if Kaebi joined! And I know PES isn't the best way of judgement but if they went through the effort of making him half decent, he must be doing something right in the world. Multi Cultural City + Iranian Player = A great signing. I hope he sees that. Wigan are dull and boring anyway, with big butch players who look like rugby players....>_>...allthough much <3 Heskey...

Hope so to its just the lure of the Premiership to a foreign player and what he will be the first Iranian to ever play in the Prem? Im praying he signs cos ive wanted an Iranian Shirt for ages and would give me the perfect excuse

Manwell Pablo Posted 27 June 2007 Posted 27 June 2007 Negative. There's been one or two at Bolton in the past. Tyemorian (sp) is still there aint he?
Fez of Mahrez Posted 27 June 2007 Posted 27 June 2007 That guy Karim Bagheri played for Charlton for a bit too, not sure whether he ever made a Premiership appearance though and I can't be arsed to look it up.
Ric Flair Posted 27 June 2007 Posted 27 June 2007 I've noticed Bayern Munich have released, Karimi. Any chance of him and Koumas coming?
Leonisco Posted 27 June 2007 Posted 27 June 2007 I've noticed Bayern Munich have released, Karimi. Any chance of him and Koumas coming? Definitely, they're both done deals according to my very reliable sources in the club kitchen.
davieG Posted 27 June 2007 Posted 27 June 2007 Definitely, they're both done deals according to my very reliable sources in the club kitchen. Shouldn't that be 'sauces' in the club kitchen?
