Manwell Pablo Posted 19 June 2007 Posted 19 June 2007 Sure that a benefit but what about Eid when he has to faste for a month, not so sure that can be good for a professional player when they are not allowed to eat or drink during daylight hours - half time and not being able to take on water might be an issue. 1) it Ramadam 2) Erm they can drink water can't they? I think. 3) It's hardly difficult not eating during day light hours in the middle of October/November the sun goes down about half past four! and rises at about 7.
Sods Posted 19 June 2007 Posted 19 June 2007 Bloddy awesome if this happens but is it likely research on husein Kaebi, Dribbles, runs and leadership are his main assetts. played for national team aged 16 Temper problem been sent off many times. hopes to play in england one day

Certainly can't do any worse than the so called players we've had there recently. MA will soon channel his temper to make him even more effective.
brookfox Posted 19 June 2007 Posted 19 June 2007 research on husein Kaebi, Dribbles, runs and leadership are his main assetts. But his Teamwork, Strength and Natural Fitness are all under 10.
Manwell Pablo Posted 19 June 2007 Posted 19 June 2007 But his Teamwork, Strength and Natural Fitness are all under 10. Please turn football manager off, now.
Dames Posted 19 June 2007 Posted 19 June 2007 But his Teamwork, Strength and Natural Fitness are all under 10. Nothing a bit of Team bonding and training in winter couldn't sort.
brookfox Posted 19 June 2007 Posted 19 June 2007 Please turn football manager off, now. It was a joke. I'm at work and Excel isn't much use for estimating Iranian players attributes!
filbertway Posted 19 June 2007 Posted 19 June 2007 Please turn football manager off, now. I'm guessing he was making a joke about what the other person said
brookfox Posted 19 June 2007 Posted 19 June 2007 I'm guessing he was making a joke about what the other person said I was. Never claimed it was funny but thank god at least one person got it!

You can't eat or drink during daylight hours for the 29/30 days of Ramadan. However, there are lots of reasons why you may not fast. Kolo Toure fasts but doesn't fast the day before and the day of a game. He simply makes up the days he missed after Ramadan. He said "God knows when I have a big game". There are plenty of great muslim players who are able to combine their religous values with playing football at the highest levels eg. Toure, Anelka, Kanoute, Boba Diop, Sissoko, Emre and even allegedly Van Persie.

General Smuts Posted 19 June 2007 Posted 19 June 2007 Elvis Hammonds fast as well. He has a fast on goals. He downright refuses to score during ramadan or as he likes to call it the championship season.

Simi Posted 19 June 2007 Posted 19 June 2007 Maybe this has some link ? Link It's been going on here in Egypt that Leicester City is signing egyptian midfielder Mohamed Shawky 26 years.Al Ahly player assisted in winning many champions (3 local leagues, 2 African champions league and other trophies). Mohamed Shawky also fixtured Egypt winning the last African Cup of Nations. I believe and no offense to Leicester City fans that Shawky deserves to be playing in the PL. Do you guys have any news about this? PS: well the link above is in arabic, but atleast it has his picture
Gené and Tonic Posted 19 June 2007 Posted 19 June 2007 He sounds like a player I would like to see here. 26 is a good age, has a winning mentality (that MA looks for particularly in players), international experience, apparently of PL quality. Shove that get him in
teblin Posted 19 June 2007 Posted 19 June 2007 Maybe this has some link ?Link Like the sound of that but when will one of the more obscure rumours come true.
Gené and Tonic Posted 19 June 2007 Posted 19 June 2007 Well at least it's a website reporting it and not hearsay
SilverFox Posted 19 June 2007 Posted 19 June 2007 Elvis Hammonds fast as well. Elvis just isn't fast.
