Fowler to Leicester - Elvis to Mallorca/Mablethorpe

I can't picture him in a Leicester shirt, I really can't. He doesn't suit blue well, so that rules the shaggers out as well.

What colour do Sydney play in?

Ric,

Sydney FC play in a lighter blue than City Blue. But Blue non the less.

I now put the chances of Robbie joining us as being at 78%

I have a feeling.

I don't think Fowler is the type to live abroad for two years...he's a stay at home type. No Championship team is gearing itself up in the same manner that we are - I think he'll feed off the buzz. The only question would be whether he could mesh with Allen ~ I believe they could work together.

Hmm...

There is an interview with Mandaric on SSN regarding Robbie Fowler in a few minutes.

Probably the interview that was in the Mercury yesterday though?

EDIT: what he said was pretty much what was in the mercury.

Isnt that basically what he said in the Merc yesterday?

We all know he's interested in getting him, but what are the chances of him actually coming?

I reckon its about 50-50 between us and Sydney but I could be wrong

If the papers are right, Cardiff are leading the race.

Milan has just stated on sky sports about his desire to bring fowler to city - he said he is cinfident he will join

In the words of Fleetwood Mac, tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies. I watched it and it was basically what he was saying in the Merc, about there being dialogue with his representatives and that he remains optimistic. At no stage did he say he was confident he would sign

Journalist - So then Milan are you confident of signing Fowler?

Milan - Yes as always!

Milan has confidence in signing everybody that it is confirmed we are interested in.

I doubt we will sign him.

This thread is completely pointless, and should be in the transfer talk section. Although I might be wrong

Yeah I agree, it should be in the transfer talk section.

(Ed: It is in the transfer talk section.)

Ah well, you would say that wouldn't you?

He said he was confident of signing Marek Saganowski and looked what happened there.

Southampton were always the favourites to sign him though imo.

With Fowler, three clubs are meant to be interested. He's had talks with Sydney, probably had talks with Cardiff and soon to have talks with Leicester. I don't think any three of the clubs are favourite, so it's all down to what Robbie wants to do.

haha. Fez thats abit of a contradictive statment there mate.

Well, I meant that the topic should be in the thread that it is now. Meaning that Uncle Monty shouldnt have started a new thread about it

Hope that makes sense

On the back of my stunningly correct Copa winner prediction - I am going for a double: Fowler will sign for us.

There, you can all pop off to Ladbrokes now and earn some money

Yes but that is showing that he is not pessimistic, not that he actually thinks he will sign.

S'right.

He has to say it, there's no way MM can state we are aiming for the Premiership and not make it publicly know that we are in the running for the 'name' Championship striker signing of the summer.

It's all rhubarb.

Wherever he's going, it isn't here.

:nono:

There's more chance of me working my way through Girls Aloud, finishing off on the ginger one's tits in the centre circle at half-time against Blackpool.
