THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 16 August 2007 Posted 16 August 2007 Training extends beyond the group work, e.g weights for example. Get Stearman and co on the stinky trump protein, scrawny scrotums
Fez of Mahrez Posted 16 August 2007 Posted 16 August 2007 Training extends beyond the group work, e.g weights for example. They should get Stearman to try some weights some time.
Bryn Posted 16 August 2007 Posted 16 August 2007 I think Fulop is a good signing and a left back is welcome, it shows that they are aware of our problem areas and I'm now confident a left winger will be on it's way. Clarke could turn out good so let's just wait and see.
mancunianfox Posted 16 August 2007 Posted 16 August 2007 Training extends beyond the group work, e.g weights for example. Is that a hint?
blue blood Posted 16 August 2007 Posted 16 August 2007 i think at the least we have addressed 2 problem areas, In a slightly twisted way i am happy martin has addressed LB and GK over the JFH link. Its a team thing. Im not sure of the quality of either player, well to be honest mosh of he squad. I am reserving judgment till december - hope Martin is still the manager then - i really believe it will take that long before this squad/team starts to sprout its roots and and flower. On the whole im happier this time this season than i have been for the past 7 seasons.
filbertway Posted 16 August 2007 Posted 16 August 2007 Fullop I like, hope he does well for us. Clarke, dno about him.
Pete_foxes Posted 16 August 2007 Posted 16 August 2007 I'm pleased with this deal actually. Don't know that much about the goalie. Only made 5 appearences, who was in goal for the rest of the time? Kelvin davies? hes not excatly good is he. Clive Clarke i'm dead pleased with that, good player when I saw him play possibly about three seasons back now hes was a solid player. Think he possibly not too pacy, but none the less pleased.

Wooly Posted 16 August 2007 Posted 16 August 2007 Sigh. More of the same from most. We have three problem areas; GK, LB, LW. We've addressed two of those three, and you're still moaning like little babies. Shut up.

l444ry Posted 16 August 2007 Posted 16 August 2007 Perhaps some of the more intellectually challenged thought we should have got Robinson and Cole. I swear there are some masochists amongst us that would prefer another relegation battle.
Cat Burger Posted 16 August 2007 Posted 16 August 2007 I'm intrigued by Marton Fulop, I hope he's still here at Christmas, I'm looking forward to the great presence.

Lineker's Left Foot Posted 16 August 2007 Posted 16 August 2007 From Wikipedia 'The move angered Coventry supporters who thought they would sign him permanently after his superb form for the club in the previous season.'Sounds like he can do a job in this division anyway. Wish we'd have spent the Jimmy money on Lee Camp though. Completely, although how well an ex-sheepsh*gger what get on here with the effect of our supporters god only knows... obviously Sturridge did well, but never really rated Gee and Ormondroyd.
Collymore Posted 16 August 2007 Posted 16 August 2007 One of my friends is a sunderland season ticket holder and he said (banter aside) that Clarke was probably the worst footballer he's ever seen, he was quite serious about it! Sounds like a Junior Lewis standard. He said Fullopp was a good keeper and he should do well.
Bryn Posted 16 August 2007 Posted 16 August 2007 How does signing two players address the problem? Oh gee we have problems at left back and in goal, in that we don't have anyone suitable, and we go out and sign two players that can play there capably. I really don't know how that solves anything. Dumbass.
Wooly Posted 16 August 2007 Posted 16 August 2007 How does signing two players address the problem? Because the two players play in two of the problem positions you fooking idiot. My apologies for the crass post to everybody else but this is exactly the kind of moron who makes wading through the various online forums such a tiresome task.
