As a retail Area Manager I couldn't agree more (I am the anti-pussy).

You have to manage with a very high expectation and want results NOW!!

The Problem is MM is a frustrated football manager, he'll never leave MA alone to do the job.

It's alright pressurising him but their is a difference between management and interference.

no disrespect to you both or your jobs but you are not in the public eye and i believe this makes a great deal of difference when egos collide ; reputation etc; if one side appears to be giving way or over-ridden it takes on greater meaning

I disagree. MM is all about his pocket. He is ploughing his own money into a club and deserves the right to interfere and be more concerned than the norm. He is throwing large wads of money into "projects" to make them a success and like any decent manager of a business, he`ll want to know everything that is going on and will have his own ideas. If he ever goes down the route of starting to make suggestions on picking the team or demanding that we buy players from his homeland like that nutter is doing over at Hearts, then fair enough, we can moan but for now, all he is, is a business manager who will do all he can to both boost his product (thats why he is a media whore) and make sure he has the right people in place to manage his business or he`ll get someone else in who can (thats why McKay and Fuccilo are no more!).

It took me a worrying amount of time to realise that this article didn't involve Milan and Allen going punting together down the local canal.

No chance, Milan wants a speedboat ride! :pirate:

I was there to watch the football today obviously but what a great man!

Mangerial wise we'll see it's still early in his LCFC Career alot could go on, at the moment mangerial wise he's doing a good job though, hope it stays that way!

Anyway, he really gets the crowd going! Loved it when he stood in the middle of the pitch about 2.55pm and was trying to gee the fans up getting abit of atmosphere going, and he kinda did!

Then when we were chanting "Mad Dog give us a wave, Mad Dog, Mad Dog give us a wave" he waved and was basically telling us to keep going.

Martin Allen is got a good atmospher going today!

He's certainly got everything going on the touchline. When the second goal went in he and the bench went crazy :w00t:

I'm just glad that his persona of being a motivator isnt just BS because he keeps inspiring the lads to improve after his HT team talk and the team looks to be set up well and organized. Basic maybe but this bloke has the X Factor (lol) and he is doing fantastically well all round. The results are starting to happen as we are now undefeated in 3 :D so its good times ahead! :worship: :worship:

I was sitting in the middle of the east stand (unfortunately) and the noise coming from the kop and L&K blocks was fantastic, great support. As for me I had old men chocking on their prawn sandwiches and splilling their flasked coffee after Mark DeepFreeze grabbed the 4th!

Awful trousers

Too true

That has to be the gayest picture of Martin Allen we'll ever EVER see. He looks like one of those female workout instructors.

"One hand on your hips and stretch as high as you can! Feel the tension ladies, let it burn a little...and....release..."

:D

As much as I like to see his enthusiasm and involvement I wished he'd refrain from continually telling players what to do, especially when defending free kicks it's very counter productive. They spend time looking to see what he's saying instead of concentrating on what's happening around them. If they don't know how to defend a free kick by now I can't see how he can improve the situation from the touch line.

At one point he appeared to be telling Fulop how to jump up and catch the ball and how to use his knee, funny but surely not necessary.
