New Manager...

You think Souness and Roeder would be good bets? Both have a proven history of cocking up wherever they go! Ok Souness got one promotion, Bryan Robson has two but would you want him here?

I've said it before - I think we should go for Gary Johnson of Bristol City. He's got a great track record wherever and has experience of international football albeit with Latvia. Also has a good win percentage if I remember rightly.

Souness cocking up?! Remember Rangers and Liverpool? I must say Sturrock's looking more and more likely and the more i look at his stats, the more I think positively about him. There's just something - and I dunno what - that says he's not right.

As for Gary Johnson...fair point. I'd agree completely, but I reckon Milan want's prem experience. Shame Chris Coleman went to Spain perhaps?

The key need Leicester fans are crying out for is charisma, especially seeing they were over-loaded when Allen took over after tenures with boring c*nts like Kelly, Levein and Taylor in charge. Anyone a bit ordinary personality wise is going to be over-looked in these here parts

Guy on TB who is usually pretty good with gossip, reckons he saw Dowie and milan at the walkers.

keep it quiet then or milan will get in trouble lol - coventry have denied us permission to speak to him....

Strange, no news as yet on todays website.

They normally have something to say.

It's now 15:35 and nothing!

Does this mean an annoucement is imminent. :dunno:

they usually call a press conference for this kind of thing.....

and no more news please of staff being called in to make a load of sarnies whoever it was!!!!

lol

I'm from Bristol, so have heard a lot about Gary Johnson with City and the Rovers.

Bristol City have lots similar to Leicester - Were a sleeping giant (in league one) have a good youth system, good ground and training facilities, and have been dodgey on the money side but suddenly seem to have some - so I think he'd be a good fit for us. He was lacking strikers to the end of last season at City, but we have loads so I think he could make a good team with us.

And to other another guy into the ring - Paul Trollop, manager of Bristol Rovers - he's done a fantastic job there with a small squad and just got the players believing and playing better than they were under other people. I went to Cardiff and Wembley with Rovers last season (for the glory trip!) and they really do play great football for a league two side (as it was then.)

So i say look at the guys in our neck of the woods - expect Sturrock - Even Wise had sucess with Swindon to start with, so it came as no shock that sturrock got them up.

Sadly Milan won't go down the young manager route again I don't think. I can see our next manager being someone with a bit more experience now, Roeder, Warnock, Dowie etc. I'd like someone like Gary Johnson, Paul Trollope has done a great job but I don't think he's ready for that sort of step-up yet. Sturrock? Yeah i'd have a crack.

Brian Little or Paul Jewell of the managers currently out of work.

Most of the other jobless managers are pants... aside from Keegan (who doesn't want a job).

Is Gérard Houllier still looking for a job?

Fanciful suggestion, I know... he's probably out of our league. :(

Still... he's without a job, so there's plenty of scope for a bandwagon. :D

You never know actually, with a bit of money on the table and lots of potential to get towards the top of the Prem in the future it wouldn't surprise me to see some more "name" managers linked with the job. If i was a famous manager and Mandaric paid well i'd like the fact of becoming a managerial legend.

Given some of the rumoured names are currently employed, perhaps Boothroyd could be prised away from Watford. He'd by on my shopping list anyway.

I thought he managed Olympic Lyonaise?

He quit at the end of the last season (in May).

I don't think he's currently managing anyone... he said he needed a break after two seasons at Lyon. I know where he's coming from... strolling to the French league title twice can't be easy.

He's listed as "available" on the LMA website... although so is Rob Kelly, so I'm unsure as to whether to trust the site or not. :ermm:

Boothroyd isn't a bad shout... doubt we could take him away from Watford though... and to me he's a bit similar to our recently departed Martin Allen. They strike me as similar sort of people... that's probably just me, though.

It's not exactly difficult to manage Rangers though is it? As for Liverpool, he was absolutely terrible there. His signings were awful, tactics were dreadful and he fell out with half of the team. Just because he managed Liverpool doesn't make him a good manager. I'd rather have Roy Evans than Souness!

Glad you agree on Johnson though ;)

Very much doubt we'd prise him away from Watford. If I could be convinced that he fancied the chance, I'd have him though!

I've seen Keegan coming out of the toilets in a first class train carriage that Milan could have left a message in.

Seems done and dusted to me.

Why are you hanging around near toilets?

Perhaps you should tell Paul Le Guen that, Mr. Foggyhorse!!!
