demon_dog Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 You're on the ball, Demon Dog, I'll give you that. Why thankyou, wish Milan was though!
l444ry Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 It will be interesting. Despite some of the misguided sychophantic defence of Mandaric on here, expect most of the half-decent managers to politely decline - in other words, tell him where he can stick his job. Therefore, a nobody or an out of work desperate fool will be installed soon.

Raj Posted 7 September 2007 Posted 7 September 2007 From BBC sport website- Peter Reid has had secret talks with Leicester owner Milan Mandaric, who is also interested in Iain Dowie. (Daily Mirror)
BigGibbo Posted 7 September 2007 Posted 7 September 2007 From BBC sport website-Peter Reid has had secret talks with Leicester owner Milan Mandaric, who is also interested in Iain Dowie. (Daily Mirror) F@ck sake i hope not he's in yank land anyway how would they know full of sh!t the mugs
teblin Posted 7 September 2007 Posted 7 September 2007 Paul Jewell has turned down the chance to manage Derby because he did not want to stab Rams boss Billy Davies in the back. (The Sun) George Burley is poised to quit Southampton after growing tired of the internal politics at the club. (Daily Mirror) Those 2 are interesting though!
BigGibbo Posted 7 September 2007 Posted 7 September 2007 Those 2 are interesting though! hows paul jewell turned down the chance to manage derby when davies is still the manager?
teblin Posted 7 September 2007 Posted 7 September 2007 hows paul jewell turned down the chance to manage derby when davies is still the manager? Might mean, davis is on his way out?
BigGibbo Posted 7 September 2007 Posted 7 September 2007 Might mean, davis is on his way out? if they sack him after what he's done for there sh!te team it will be hilarious & will make there descent much more enjoyable
Thracian Posted 7 September 2007 Posted 7 September 2007 George Burley would be an excellent choice for us but the question remains as to whether he would fancy the experience of working for Mandaric. And if he's had enough of the internal politics at Southampton he'd sure find it fun at Leicester. rolleyes:
Raj Posted 7 September 2007 Posted 7 September 2007 Heard through "The Grapevine" the new manager will be 'with a proven track record'
Thracian Posted 7 September 2007 Posted 7 September 2007 Heard through "The Grapevine" the new manager will be 'with a proven track record' That's easy then.. Roger Black.
Joe. Posted 7 September 2007 Posted 7 September 2007 I've resigned myself to the fact we're getting in a distinctively average manager.
Cheese Me Posted 7 September 2007 Posted 7 September 2007 I've resigned myself to the fact we're getting in a distinctively average manager. Or maybe no manager and Mandaric will put himself in charge a la Barry Fry at Peterborough
Ric Flair Posted 7 September 2007 Posted 7 September 2007 From BBC sport website-Peter Reid has had secret talks with Leicester owner Milan Mandaric, who is also interested in Iain Dowie. (Daily Mirror) Mandaric says he hasn't interviewed anyone yet. But I have a nasty feeling Reid is on the shortlist. George Burley would be an excellent choice for us but the question remains as to whether he would fancy the experience of working for Mandaric. And if he's had enough of the internal politics at Southampton he'd sure find it fun at Leicester. rolleyes: I'd be happy with Burley, he is very successful in the foreign tranfer market as well, something Mr Mandaric will admire. My only doubt would be, that he's worked for Romanov at Hearts and perhaps he doesn't want to work for another chap who is perceived to be a meddling chairman (I personally don't think he is). He can bring Saganowski and Surman with him as well.
surrifox Posted 7 September 2007 Posted 7 September 2007 Sunday Times (which correctly stated last week that Allen would be out before the Plymouth game ) says it will be Reid
Raj Posted 7 September 2007 Posted 7 September 2007 That's easy then..Roger Black. Eh Up Thrac....You trying to be funny????
BigGibbo Posted 7 September 2007 Posted 7 September 2007 I've resigned myself to the fact we're getting in a distinctively average manager. yeah thats my thoughts at the min I hope we get a nice suprise
Thracian Posted 7 September 2007 Posted 7 September 2007 That's like listening to the weather forecast and hearing that it's going to be miserable for months on end. Go get Burley for pity's sake and let's have some football we can start getting excited about.
Master Fox Posted 7 September 2007 Posted 7 September 2007 That's like listening to the weather forecast and hearing that it's going to be miserable for months on end. It's a bit depressing really at the moment.
Raj Posted 7 September 2007 Posted 7 September 2007 It's a bit depressing really at the moment. Seconded!
Geo V Posted 7 September 2007 Posted 7 September 2007 George Burley would be a great choice if we could get him. Not over the hill or in the wilderness like Megson and Reid but always seems to build footballing teams and finding real good players. He must be fooked off with having to sell the likes of Bale, Jones, Baird and "Pele" so hopefully we can tempt him over.
jumbo mills Posted 7 September 2007 Posted 7 September 2007 Or maybe no manager and Mandaric will put himself in charge a la Barry Fry at Peterborough at least barry fry knew a bit about footy to start with
surrifox Posted 7 September 2007 Posted 7 September 2007 at least barry fry knew a bit about footy to start with and I thought that too, right up to the point where he decided to sign Josh Low
