Asha Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 Would love Boothroyd but just cant see it happening.
Cheese Me Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 I would have said the same for Sturrock. Would much prefer Sturrock to Pulis. Really impressed with his record actually now it's been highlighted. With Jewell apparently out of the running I'm all for jumping on a Sturrock bandwagon.
RedOnRed Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 Personally, I think Warnock ticks a lot of boxes for you with his character, passion and judging by his entertaining football and what he achieved with the Blades he would certainly be top of my list. The only thing is that passion and character, even if it wins you games, isn't conducive to getting on with a control freak chairman and all of the best managers tend to like to do things their way.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 I'm still holding out for Capello...

Franchise FC fan, ladies and gentleman...a Franchise FC fan
RedOnRed Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 Franchise FC fan, ladies and gentleman...a Franchise FC fan How playgroundesque. It's been quite a while. I thought you'd at least be able to change your unoriginal repertoire a little bit by now.

No offence at all intended but you don't really understand the history. Warnock is very, very unwelcome at this club!
RedOnRed Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 No offence at all intended but you don't really understand the history. Warnock is very, very unwelcome at this club! Oops, if that is the case. I wasn't aware that there was some history there. Shame really. He did a good job at Sheff UTD. Is it worth me asking what happened, or is it a lengthy story?
Geo V Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 Would love Boothroyd but just cant see it happening. The transfer window is shut and I doubt Wolves would let him leave them. Having played in Italy though, he would be a great option as player manager if we don't manage to bring Capello or Houllier in.
BigGibbo Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 Oops, if that is the case. I wasn't aware that there was some history there. Shame really. He did a good job at Sheff UTD.Is it worth me asking what happened, or is it a lengthy story? what happened was warnock is a complete C@NT
lookwhaticando Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 I'm all for jumping on a Sturrock bandwagon. There are to be no rival bandwagons in this thread. I'm backing Gérard. And so should the rest of you. Failing in that... Brian Little. How playgroundesque. It's been quite a while. I thought you'd at least be able to change your unoriginal repertoire a little bit by now. Basically called us cheating scum back in 2002... and said that we should - essentially - be left to go bust and disappear completely.

He did a good job at Sheff UTD.Is it worth me asking what happened, or is it a lengthy story? He called us cheats for getting promoted even though we were in administration. They could've taken 10 points off and we still would've finished 2nd so he was talking crap.
toblerone Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 I do not no how reliable this is but my mate at work apparently saw Garry Johnson (bristol city manager) at the walkers!!!!!
NFFC Chris Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 Sturrock won't go to you after the Southampton experience,Mandaric is worse than Lowe for crying out loud!Pullis isn't bad you know but I can't see why he'd want to leave Stoke for you either. You can take Calderwood off us if you like though, please!
Manwell Pablo Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 Sturrock won't go to you after the Southampton experience,Mandaric is worse than Lowe for crying out loud!Pullis isn't bad you know but I can't see why he'd want to leave Stoke for you either. You can take Calderwood off us if you like though, please! I can't believe you haven't sacked him yet.

NFFC Chris Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 I can't believe you haven't sacked him yet. Doughty won't sack him and Calderwood won't walk,we're stuck with him until the end of the season at least imo like it or not

teblin Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 If Colin Calderwood were music he'd probably be The Lighthouse Family What would warnock be?
Manwell Pablo Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 Doughty won't sack him and Calderwood won't walk,we're stuck with him until the end of the season at least imo like it or not He'll have to if your current form continues.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 What would warnock be? Status Quo - same old simple chord again and again
The People's Hero Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 With all these clubs having to issue statements denying we're about to appoint their manager, Kamara is going to go mental!
teblin Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 Status Quo - same old simple chord again and again He'd be something more offensive than that surely.
Daggers Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 I do not no how reliable this is but... I do.
