dandannieldanok Posted 9 September 2007 Posted 9 September 2007 Please not tony adams That's a bit random
Eastern Fox Posted 9 September 2007 Posted 9 September 2007 Please not tony adams I think it's safe to say Milan won't be considering him. Didn't do a very good job at Wycombe did he?
Dames Posted 9 September 2007 Posted 9 September 2007 Please not tony adams I'd love him. Hopefully he'd throw some of our younger stars in his sporting chance clinic to realise how lucky they are.
Filberts lovechild Posted 9 September 2007 Posted 9 September 2007 I hear MM has a good relationship with Jim Smith
lookwhaticando Posted 9 September 2007 Posted 9 September 2007 I hear MM has a good relationship with Jim Smith Rather a Smith than a Roeder or Smegson. That's not really saying a great deal, though. We want Gérard!

l444ry Posted 9 September 2007 Posted 9 September 2007 I hear MM has a good relationship with Jim Smith Harry Redknapp threatened to quit Portsmouth when Mandaric wanted to sack Jim Smith over Harry's head. So I'm not sure about the truth of that. Once a meddler always a meddler.....
Zingari Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 Derby manager Billy Davies is set for showdown talks with his bosses this week - but could join Leicester if he decides to leave the Rams following reports that they have been lining up a replacement. (Daily Mirror) looks as though it may be on the cards
Ric Flair Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 Glen Roeder has met with Mandaric yesterday, it's on the cards.
The People's Hero Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 Well it's going to be an interesting few days because if all the stories are to be believed Leicester City will have at least two managers by the middle of next week.Peter Reid will be first in and will immediately dive in for 3 loan players the tale goes. And George Burley will try to squeeze into the same office come the middle of the week according to another rumour. Which should make team selection interesting. Goalkeeper: Fulop... goalkeeper Fulop. Right back Chambers - right back Kaebi: no he's not, yes he is, no he's not. Left back Sheehan no, yes, no, yes...splat. Doubtless many will be picked for both teams but it will be fascinating to see the what the others do. Perhaps there will be some sort of contest before the warm-up period, shots against the crossbar that sort of thing. With Birch as judge. And will there be room for both Reid and Burley in the same technical area? What about substitutions?. Perhaps we'll have two guys come off and only one replace them - twice!. What fun it will be when Burley orders a full press high up the field and Reid uinsists on a tactical retreat. They'll be moving backwards and forwards like the tide. The fans could get seasick watching. And if supporters think their seats are tight that'll be nothing compared to the bench if Reid and Burley both pick five different substitutes. Ten players on the five seats would be like a scene from the Indian railways. Perhaps they could play 10 Blue and White Bottles to make some space. Either that or ask DeVries to sit in the stands. That would leave four seats vacant. Most interesting will be when Reid wants a guy off and Burley doesn't. I can just see the player walking to the side of the pitch only to find the two managers tossing a coin. Heads he's off, tails he stays. Double or quits. Best of five.... It would be the longest potential substitution in history. We could even have conceded two goals while the matter was being decided and the managers - at least Burley - wouldn't know cos he's a Scotsman and would never take his eye off the money being tossed. At the press interviews afterwards, Burley would think we've won 1-0 while Reid would bemoan a 2-1 defeat. The mind boggles and do you know what I'm really bothered about?. There's no saying we won't be appointing a third manager come the morning. I speak out of concern - I really am genuinely getting quite worried about you.
Master Fox Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 Glen Roeder has met with Mandaric yesterday, it's on the cards. If memory serves me correctly, he didn't do too badly at Newcastle under the circumstances. I know he’s not the most interesting of characters, but at this level he might be able to blend a half decent team together?

I know he’s not the most interesting of characters, but at this level he might be able to blend a half decent team together? I'm not keen on him. But he doesn't make my stomach churn like Reid and Megson do. I'd hazard a guess that he'd perhaps be coming in with a young up and coming maestro. This may all be bollocks anyway, but i've read somewhere that Roeder has met with Milan and that Mandaric is ready to appoint a new manager. I suppose it depends how many managers he's interviewed since his return. Hopefully the Billy Davies situation will change things.

To be fair to Roeder, the amount pressure the guy was under at both West Ham and Newcastle was immense. Glen conducted himself with great calmness throughout, so at least at Leicester it would seem relatively tame compared to what he’s endured else where. He definitely has the experience that Milan has highlighted as an attribute the next manager must possess as a necessity. Thought of Megson or Peter Reid is horrible to even bear contemplating. It would be a huge mistake if Milan were to appoint either of them.

Daggers Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 Glen Roeder has met with Mandaric yesterday, it's on the cards. I assume he would meet and interview all the shortlisted candidates.

Master Fox Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 get rid of batman ffs...... How dare you!!! Ok, You have to be able to create a poll as to whether I should be allowed to keep it or not. You have 5 mins
Master Fox Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 get rid......it hurts my eyes. And give me one good reason why i should care? Nobody else seems to be complaining.. And seeing as Budfox failed in his attempts to create a poll it only means one thing… BATMAN IS 4 EVER
