Nick Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 May have been posted before but:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iv41bvnzqNQ Haha! Love it! I'd take Dowie, definately, for his looks alone. And to see them employ MA at Coventry...... Jewell plays the worst type of football I've seen. ( And I don't mean the 'winning' kind.) Warnock would do well for this club but I'm not sure the passion is there. Roeder will be trampled into the ground or his brain will explode from the pressure Mandaric will place him under. Billy Davies hasn't enough friends to come here. I hope the other listed candidates have accidents.

Master Fox Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 I just wish he would hurry up and appoint somebody so we've all got something new and exciting to moan and slag off about until Decemeber!

teblin Posted 11 September 2007 Posted 11 September 2007 Former Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock has turned down the Leicester manager's job. (The Sun)

Cheese Me Posted 11 September 2007 Posted 11 September 2007 Former Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock has turned down the Leicester manager's job. (The Sun) If true that is easily the best news of the season so far!!!!!
davieG Posted 11 September 2007 Posted 11 September 2007 I wouldn't get too excited if you're a Dowie fan, that website produced the Heath-Cork-Reid on Monday tosh. Yes but it was posted by a Cov fan.
Mort Posted 11 September 2007 Posted 11 September 2007 If true that is easily the best news of the season so far!!!!! Why? To be honest unless we're getting Burnley, Davies, Jewell or Tigana then there isnt anyone out there any better?! Edit: I don't actually want Warnock, just putting it into perspective.
Thracian Posted 11 September 2007 Posted 11 September 2007 Former Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock has turned down the Leicester manager's job. (The Sun) That's good news but also concrete evidence of the problem MM has now with getting even middle-grade managers to join him. Because Warnock would have jumped at the job a few weeks back.

Because Warnock would have jumped at the job a few weeks back. There was no way that Neil Warnock was going to come here after we shyed him off when we appointed Allen in May. The only way Mandaric would have got him would have been to offer him a ridiculous salary (he wanted near on a million last time) and i'm pretty sure, Milan wasn't that desperate for him. This is Warnock wanting to save face, by claiming he's turned us down.

Really not bothred, he's not coming here, happy days.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 11 September 2007 Posted 11 September 2007 Really not bothred, he's not coming here, happy days. Is this cos the Sun said so or have we got some quotes?
Koke Posted 11 September 2007 Posted 11 September 2007 Don't want Billy Davies either so happy days indeed.
Ric Flair Posted 11 September 2007 Posted 11 September 2007 Hoddle, Souness and O'Leary. I reckon one of those beauts is in the Famous Four.I'd take any of those 3 over Reid, Roeder or Megson. The only one who I could see working ok with Milan is O'Leary though. Hoddle might get by with Mandaric, but i'm not sure whether Milan would grasp what Hoddle's all about and Souness is a nutter. But I think the three of them will have been considered, they fit the profile of what Mandy wants. Don't want Billy Davies either so happy days indeed. Who do you want though?
Koke Posted 11 September 2007 Posted 11 September 2007 Who do you want though? At first I wanted Paul Jewell but it quickly became a reality that he wasn't joining us. Now I'd rather want Iain Dowie than Billy Davies. I'm just worried BD will splash big money out on players of Kenwyne Jones caliber. And also, he went up but it seems like he still hasn't solved out Derby's problem. To have Darren Moore at the back at that level is nothing short of criminal. And thirdly, his football was quite frankly dreadful at times, effective yes, but dreadful.
Manwell Pablo Posted 11 September 2007 Posted 11 September 2007 Is this cos the Sun said so or have we got some quotes? The Sun. In the words of Fox Mulder, I want to believe.

Davies has his shortcomings, but you can't dismiss what he's done in the past 3 years. It rivals what Brian Little did for us in the early 90's. 2 play-off defeats and then promotion the following year, this time with a different club than previous years, which you could say is more of an achievement as Derby seemed to be in free-fall the season before. I suppose he did have money last year though, but at Preston he had a small budget to work with and he was impressive. I have my doubts about Davies, more so with his personality and attitude, which would rub well with a man like Mandaric. I like George Burley, but i'm doubtful he'd be available. Thinking outside of the box, i'd love a Jean Tigana and John Collins partnership, or just Tigana if it came down to it. If Dowie isn't available either, then I hope to dear god that Mandaric doesn't go with Reid or Megson. Roeder i'm not keen on either, he seems like he's blagged his way in to the Premiership for no reason whatsoever. Hoddle and Souness both have promotions and trophies to their names, i'd much rather one of them than a cretin like Reid, who's pornographic relegations scare the life out of me.

Manwell Pablo Posted 11 September 2007 Posted 11 September 2007 Is that what Fox Moulder used to say???? Are you trying to be funny or are you incorrectly correcting something that is correct. I like the sentance, it has many layers.
