Had a great day supporting my eldest in his first powerlifting competition where he qualified for the National Champs in October.

Squat 220kg, bench press 132.5kg and deadlift 212.5kg.

Proud Dad moment.

Thing is he is only 7.Thats frighteningly heavy.Well done IOW jnr.Does another one of your sons also play a good standard of football,or is that another poster ?

Haha! He's 24.

 

It was the first time I've ever been to anything to do with lifting etc. It was pretty amazing, especially the camaraderie.

 

A guy set a new British Masters record for over 45's with a deadlift of 320kg!! That's just over 50 stones in old money. I thought he was going to explode.

 

Good memory - 16 year-old plays for Portsmouth U19 Development Squad.

Good day today. Work was productive (this morning, tailed off in the afternoon).

 

Had to take my car to be looked at, ended up with new rear shocks, new discs up front and alignment etc. Came to about GBP260 with labour etc. No way would I have been able to get such a bargain in the UK!

 

I can't wait to test out the shocks off road. I do love my 4L v6!! It's a beast.

One of the boys was best man as it was his brothers wedding and he actually fainted during the vowels was pretty funny,

Blimey he wouldn't last long on countdown.

Sent off my uni application today.

 

Today was a good day.

I'm not sure if it's still the case, but when I applied many years ago I was getting offers from all over the place........from places I never even applied to.  My preferred choices were Nottingham & Sheffield Universities.  I got into Sheffield, but remember being offered places from Lancaster, Kingston & a few others.

 

I hope you get the one you want!!

Haha sweeeet. I've got 500 Lev or whatever you call 'em, which is like 210/220 quid or something around there. Loads of beers! 

 

I just googled Rakija and it looks lethal. Happy days. 

 

One more day in work tomorrow, 2 days in bed preparing for skiing on Saturday and a week off to recover after. Yessss. 

 

Shame there's no snow! It's like spring in Sofia at the moment. Hope it hasn't pissed on your chips too much.

Talk of driving tests - I've got mine on Friday. Haven't been in the slightest bit bothered but I am slightly now.

 

Could see myself cocking up on something very stupid.
