Just got the phone call to let me know I've become an uncle for the first time. A nephew born at 22:15 Christmas Day! Leicester gear already purchased, so another Foxes fan to add to the ranks.

Floods are mental in York. I was thinking of going out last night thrn changed my mind. I wouldn't have been able to get home if I had. Literally no way in to the centre from my house now.

middle of leeds is pretty bad too. luckily not my part of town and I live uphill away from any rivers etc so should be ok.

sun's shining now too so hopefully a bit of a break, pretty sure i read somewhere that every river in the north of england is at record levels lol.

My house is just far enough from the river not to be affected but houses at the bottom of the road are flooded. it's all going off nearby. Sirens, helicopters etc.
