I’m pretty sure I heard the snap 😂

Ouch! How did you do it? I'd still get it looked at when you can, what if it's not in the right place and heals all wonky? lol

Playing football. Went in goal because I injured my toe, someone had a shot that hit the back board so I stuck my hand out and the ball hit me bang on the top of it. Was honestly shocked when I looked down that it wasn’t pointing sideways and dislocated.

Just figured out I’m not going to be able to play guitar for a few weeks which is a bit shit!

Well,  we were informed yesterday that the wife was exposed to covid 19 as a student of hers has tested positive. She got her booster shot yesterday too before finding out. I got mine today.

So, now i am concerned that it could be in my house just in time for my bday and xmas.  Could be a crappy holiday season at this rate.

Thanks to city forthe fantastic bottle job tonight. Might be the only kind of "job" i get this week lol.

Hope all is well and you're all clear.

What's testing like over there? Can you get one done to make sure?

It was okay. About 2 weeks ago the kids were sick. Got an appointment for PCR testing the next day and results followed 23.5 hours later (to be exact). Negative :)

My brothers step son was exposed at school to a student who got covid...this was sometime last week. He got a PCR test and well it's a week later and no results.

A colleague of mine is going through the same thing with one of his kids.

Essentially, testing had quick turn around times but like in england and aroand the globe this Omicron variant has taken over in such  a short time  that it has innundated our testing capacity. Nurses and staff are working overtime and there's a concern about burnout. Clearly those who do testing (labs etc) are  overwhelmed as well.

Cases have been going up quickly. I think early last week or so we were at about 1200 per day. Now we are at over 4300 or so per day in Ontario alone.  The number of those needing ICU care (intensive care) is going up slowly which is a positive per say compared to other variants but an upswing in an ICU number is never good for the system in general. I really feel for our nurses. They are tired, stressed and need a break.

My brothers wife is 27 and a nurse. She works in the maternity ward and has gone from essentially a junior nurse to the floor nurse team lead and feels overwhelmed with her new responsibilities  (given the experience she has). But shes stepped up as other senior nurses are either quiting, being reassigned to more critical areas, on mental health or covid leaves of absences.

The sooner covid fecks off the better it is for humanity in general.

Hope everyone is keeping as safe as they can.

Just stay safe, enjoy your birthday and that curried lamb for Xmas!

Fingers crossed the contact your wife had hasn't passed it on :fc:

What's the public feeling of how Trudeau and his government have handled things? Can't be as bad as over here!

No  i dont think it has been as bad as over there with Boris and co. He was crucified for the lack of vaccines, not having capacity or ability to make vaccines here etc but eventually he got us the vaccines needed and we quickly caught up with the rest of the world. I don't personally like him (and i typically vote liberal more often than not) but you have to cut politicians a bit of slack in a pandemic because nobody will  ever be happy with the decisions they make. It's a tough situation to be in. I would have liked to see him stop international travel etc  but he didn't.

Each level of government has done good and bad things.  I am thankful to live in a great country so can't complain too much.

My elderly neighbour popped round earlier with a big box of Indian sweets that she'd made.

OMG!! I just want to kidnap her and lock her in my kitchen.

Alright, its 730am here. It's my birthday and i'm 42. Show me some love :)

Hoping to get my hands on an xbox series x with flight simulator today. One of my younger brothers might have a connection. He got my youngest brother one yesterday but the little shits never told me they could get them. If i miss out,  seeing as it's my birthday they are going to get slapped lol.

If not, cake is all I need and I will be picking that up today from the local  bakery. Wifey can't go as she's in isolation.  Don't think my 8 year old son could manage it on his own...well it did snow, he could take the sled and bring it back in that lol.

Hooe you are all keeping safe.

I wish I could remember when I was 42... :(

Happy Birthday, Jatt!

Nice one, I love a good flight sim.

What will you be doing Boxing day if the Foxes win? The wife? Maybe?
